Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), and Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL), are their respective Democrat challengers. This was revealed in a Progress Florida/Florida Watch poll, also known by theHub’s Research Department.
Openly leftist organizations conducted the survey. Progress Florida is one example of an organization that “promotes progressive policies”, such as “social justice” or abortion. Florida Watch has also been a partner to create a website that is solely dedicated to attacking the governor.
The survey still shows Charlie Crist (D.FL) leading the governor, a proud ally to President Biden by three percentage points or 48 percent to Crist’s 45 percent. Although the organization regards the race as a “toss-up”, the survey acknowledges that the Sunshine State is “slightly favorable to Republicans.”
According to this progressive poll, Rubio is slightly ahead of Val Demings (D–FL) by one percentage point.
This survey, which was conducted among 3,017 state voters, was completed between August 25-30, 2022. It has a +/– 1.78 percent margin for error and is two months before the midterm elections.
Florida Republicans are optimistic, especially considering that registered Republican voters outnumber Democrats by well over 200,000. By 230,915 votes, Republicans had outnumbered Democrats as of July 31. Additionally, Florida’s blue Miami has seen a shift as more Hispanic voters have registered to vote as Republicans than Democrats.
