DNC Ad Cites Charleston Handgun Attack In Push For Assault Weapons Ban

A DNC advertisement was circulated via social media. The DNC uses a Charleston handgun attack as an example to support banning assault weapons.

This advertisement features President Joe Biden naming high-profile terrorist attacks based on firearms in Buffalo, Charleston, and Uvalde.

Biden opens up about the pain of having to lose children and says, “Enough.” We are done with assault weapon bans.

The DNC does not mention that the July 17, 2015 Charleston attack used a.45 caliber pistol. It is obvious that an “assault weapons prohibition” would not have prevented the attack.

The ad does not mention New York’s “assault weapon ban.” The May 10, 2022 attack against Buffalo took place.

The ad also ignores the fact the guns used to attack Sandy Hook, Newtown, on December 14, 2012 were stolen. Breitbart news quoted a report from Connecticut’s Attorney for the District of Danbury that indicated that all guns used in that attack were legally purchased and stolen by Nancy Lanza.

The Newtown attacker used a.22 rifle as his first weapon. Nancy Lanza was also killed by that gun.

It should also be noted that the Orlando Pulse attacker was armed with a rifle, handgun and a weapon of mass destruction when he attacked them.
