Ella Emhoff, stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, has been raising funds for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). The news comes after it was revealed that the agency was employing Hamas operatives who helped the terrorist group carry out its surprise attack against Israel on October 7.
The revelation has caused a stir as many nations stopped funding the agency after its role in the October 7 slaughter was exposed.
Emhoff leveraged her platform in Instagram to solicit donations for the UNRWA, which has brought the agency’s malfeasance back into the spotlight.
Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter has called for donations to a UN agency whose workers were accused by Israel of participating in the Oct 7 terror attacks.
Ella Emhoff, 24, posted a link on her Instagram page raising money for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) – a branch of the UN that deals with refugees in Palestine.
Ms Emhoff is the daughter of Douglas Emhoff, who is married to the US vice president.
The US and other Western countries have suspended donations to UNRWA after Israel accused the agency of employing workers who participated in the Hamas terror attacks.
Israeli officials claimed that more than 10 per cent of the agency’s workers were members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad – two of the groups that have launched attacks on Israel in the last five months.
A dossier handed to the US government by Israel in January alleged that UNRWA employees had kidnapped a woman, while another was accused of taking part in a massacre at an Israeli kibbutz where 97 people died.
In January, the UNRWA’s alliance with Hamas was revealed to the world. Reports outlined the extent to which the agency was linked with the terrorist group.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “At least 12 employees of the U.N.’s Palestinian refugee agency had connections to Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel and around 10% of all of its Gaza staff have ties to Islamist militant groups.”
The information in the intelligence reports—based on what an official described as very sensitive signals intelligence as well as cellphone tracking data, interrogations of captured Hamas fighters and documents recovered from dead militants, among other things—were part of a briefing given by Israel to U.S. officials that led Washington and others to suspend aid to Unrwa.
Intelligence estimates shared with the U.S. conclude that around 1,200 of Unrwa’s roughly 12,000 employees in Gaza have links to Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and about half have close relatives who belong to the Islamist militant groups. Both groups have been designated as terrorist organizations by the U.S. and others. Hamas has run Gaza since a 2007 coup.
“Unrwa’s problem is not just ‘a few bad apples’ involved in the October 7 massacre,” said a senior Israeli government official. “The institution as a whole is a haven for Hamas’ radical ideology.”
So, why would someone like Emhoff be raising money for an agency that clearly contributes to terrorist activity?
It could be ignorance. After all, being a progressive means never having to pay close attention to what one is doing when they seek to virtue signal. It is entirely plausible that she had no idea that the UNRWA employs terrorists – especially if she does not consume the news.
It would be nice to believe that Emhoff wouldn’t knowingly raise funds for terrorists who massacred and kidnapped Israeli soldiers and civilians. Of course, if we take a more cynical approach, we might assume that this is the entire reason why Harris’ stepdaughter is supporting the agency. After all, many of those who claim care about the plight of Palestinian civilians are nothing more than supporters of Hamas and its mission to destroy Israel and commit genocide against the Jewish people living in the region.
Either way, this is not a good look for the vice president.
