A recently surfaced recording of a Zoom call between the Biden/Harris team from 2020 reveals disconcerting evidence of the team’s intentional targeting and manipulation of voters and relentless bullying of media outlets to control information.
As RedState previously reported, the Missouri v. Biden (now styled Murthy v. Missouri) case is one of the most important free speech cases of recent years. Originally, the Fifth Circuit had ruled in favor of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and entered an injunction against the officials accused of censorship. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court later ruled that the plaintiffs did not have proper standing.
One of the key people in this controversy was Biden’s Director for Digital Strategy. Rob Flaherty. As RedState’s Susie Moore reported (citing a pleading filed in the case):
Among many other things, Mr. Flaherty directly participated in the oral meeting where he and Andrew Slavitt pressured Twitter to de-platform Alex Berenson – critical information that the Government‘s discovery did not reveal. Mr. Flaherty emailed Nick Clegg, a senior Facebook executive, with a link to a Washington Post story about misinformation on Facebook, stating “not even sure what to say at this point.” Mr. Flaherty repeatedly participated in oral meetings with social-media platforms about so-called COVID “misinformation,” as documents filed by Plaintiffs repeatedly attest.
Given this information, it is even more upsetting to hear Flaherty’s proud and gleeful remarks on the surfaced Zoom call.
“One of the smartest things that the party did itself was over the last couple of years, they actually invested in a team that Tim runs… to detect and track misinformation and misinformation narratives in various corners of the internet and then flag them to platforms as a violation of their policy.”
Of course, later, Flaherty refused to define “misinformation.”
This is because, according to him, misinformation is anything they don’t like. He was able to clearly define “misinformation narratives” in his team meeting, and in the below email, Flaherty is demanding that videos of Tucker Carlson saying the COVID-19 vaccine doesn’t stop transmission be taken down, as well as posts of Tomi Lahren saying “my body, my choice” and refusing to take the vaccine.
Becca Rinkevich, the Rapid Response Director of that time, then touted that they have seen “a huge amount of volume and a lot of impact” on these “false” narratives, such as Biden’s health or if he was being manipulated by the radical left.
As we dig deeper, the actual details of this manipulation are shocking.
Interviewer: “So you’ve harvested my data, and then you’ve used that to target me in ways that I can’t see and that I don’t understand?”
Christopher Wylie: “So we would know what kinds of messaging you would be susceptible to —including the framing of it, the topics, the content, the tone, whether it’s scary or not—that kind of thing—so we’d know what you’d be susceptible to, where you’re going to consume that, and then how many times we need to touch you in order to change how you think about something.”
She then proudly announced that their method had been successful in changing the minds of at least 200,000 voters.
These videos show the shocking truth of the way the left is ruthlessly trying to control information and the media, especially social media. Rob Flaherty eventually resigned from his position amidst the court battles, but Biden issued a statement honoring him for the way his team has “pioneered new methods of communication, and operated with unparalleled creativity, innovative spirit and a bias toward action.”
The Democrats claim that Trump is a threat to democracy while they secretly control and manipulate people and information according to their own political agenda. There has never been a more important time to fight for the integrity of the Internet, for freedom of speech, and to expose the lies of those who have betrayed the trust of the American people.
