A Southern California sheriff hilariously took down Kamala Harris over what he called her embarrassing response to the anti-ICE riots over the weekend after Harris tried to blame them on President Donald Trump.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco reacted to the former vice president’s statement in which Harris claimed Trump was the one promoting “chaos” after he called in the National Guard to help police who were under assault over the weekend.
“President Trump didn’t start these riots,” Bianco’s post on X read. “He’s not out there lighting cars on fire, hurling projectiles at law enforcement, or blocking freeways. This statement is an embarrassment and does nothing to diffuse the violent riots taking place across the city.”
“The Democrats and their leaders own this,” he added.
In Harris’s ridiculous statement, she refused to call out the riots or the violence, even refusing to name the uprising as anything other than “what’s unfolding in Los Angeles,” RedState reported.
Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to promote chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.
This Administration’s actions are not about public safety – they’re about stoking fear. Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process.
Protest is a powerful tool – essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.
As Nick Arama pointed out, Harris in no way condemned “any of the violence,” instead, she tried to act “like it doesn’t exist.” She also claimed it had “been ‘overwhelmingly peaceful,’ even as thousands were descending on the Metropolitan Detention Center, attacking law enforcement, and blocking the 101 Freeway.”
Harris sounds just as completely out of touch on the riots as California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and every other Democrat who has blamed the riots on, you guessed it, President Trump, as RedState reported.
Newsom threw a fit after Trump called in the Guard, whining on X that it was some kind of government takeover.
The Governor wrote that:
The federal government is moving to take over the California National Guard and deploy 2,000 soldiers. That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.
LA authorities are able to access law enforcement assistance at a moment’s notice. We are in close coordination with the city and county, and there is currently no unmet need.
The Guard has been admirably serving LA throughout recovery. This is the wrong mission and will erode public trust.
Thank God Trump is not playing with these leaders in blue cities and states when it comes to chaos by radical leftists. We all lived through the destruction of cities across the country during the so-called 2020 “Summer of Love” over George Floyd’s death, and no American wants to go through that again.
