I must say, I don’t understand the Biden family. At all.
If you genuinely cared about Joe Biden, you wouldn’t keep putting him out there for events where his problems are glaringly obvious.
I don’t think the Democrats are happy that he’s reminding everyone of all of his issues that they covered up as he occupied the most powerful office in the world.
I think that’s one of the main reasons people voted for President Donald Trump, in addition to his having better policy.
But I don’t think there can be a lot of folks out there anymore wanting to shell out money for Joe Biden to speak.
I don’t think many places want him there to speak, even for free. One place that did was the Juneteenth celebration in Galveston, Texas, at the Reedy Chapel AME Church, one of the locations where they read out an order announcing the end of slavery in Texas on June 19, 1865.
But Joe was typical Joe. He was slurring and having difficulty. But he did that thing where he tells tales to show how he relates to his audience. He talked about visiting the black church while growing up and lied again about being “deeply involved in the civil rights movement.” He also claimed he’s been through “all of Africa” and spent a “long, long time” there.
That sounds a bit like his false story about being arrested trying to see Nelson Mandela.
He looked like his brain broke in the middle here:
Biden looked bad and did one of those shouting angrily things he does.
Compare it to when he celebrated last Juneteenth (on June 10, not June 19th), when he appeared to space out, and people were so worried. He looks far worse now.
In 2020, he appeared to conflate/confuse Juneteenth and the massacre on “Black Wall Street.”
But beyond Joe being Joe, he can’t remake himself into some civil rights hero.
He’s still the guy who said he didn’t want his kids to grow up in a “racial jungle.” He’s the guy who made that comment about Barack Obama being “articulate and bright and clean.”
Who can forget when he said that if you don’t know you’re supposed to vote for him, “You ain’t black,” to Charlamagne tha God during the 2020 campaign? But he also said other false and crazy things in that interview, including that the NAACP endorsed him every time he ran, when they don’t endorse candidates.
Bottom line? Joe Biden’s real life has always been at odds with his fantasy life, and his family should have him stay home with his grandchildren.
