Joe Biden’s White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor appeared before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday to answer questions related to Biden’s cognitive decline.
However, O’Connor exited the deposition after about an hour, with his attorney saying they wouldn’t be answering any questions from the press.
Turns out he wasn’t answering any questions in the deposition either.
“Dr. O’Connor pleaded the Fifth Amendment,” Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) later revealed. “I’m gonna read the first two questions that were asked.”
“‘Were you ever told to lie about the president’s health?’ He pleaded the Fifth Amendment,” the chairman said. “‘Did you ever believe President Biden was unfit to execute his duties?’”
“I think that this adds more fuel to the fire that there was a cover-up,” he declared.
Comer commented before the deposition.
“We can’t have the physician’s office not being truthful about the health condition of the president,” he added, noting that this was part of a larger investigation into who in the Biden White House was authorized to use an autopen that signed executive actions and pardons.
He posted on X that it was clear there was a “conspiracy” to cover up Biden’s decline, and he said they would pursue more questions with other Biden aides to get to the truth.

Congress must assess legislative solutions to prevent such a coverup from happening again. We will continue to interview more Biden White House aides to get the answers Americans deserve.
O’Connor’s attorneys released a statement saying that the pending DOJ criminal investigation left him no choice but to invoke the Fifth.
They’re still scrambling.
