I think it’s fair to say that after three-plus years with the Biden-Harris team allegedly in charge of the country, we’ve seen our fair share of dumb, false comments and bad policy.
Just on Friday, we saw the Harris team claim that the reason that they had a bad jobs report was somehow due to former President Donald Trump. Trump hasn’t been in office for three plus years, so that’s impossible. But it’s because they don’t want to shoulder the responsibility for their own failures as they now face Trump. The American public knows it was better under Trump, and so Harris and the Democrats face an uphill climb when it comes to their bad record.
Also on Friday, Joe Biden doubled down on the dumb when he couldn’t even get the time he had left in office right because his mind was so gone. He coupled that with some other ominous-sounding comments.

But I guess Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) didn’t want the Harris-Biden team to win the prize for dumbest comments of the week and decided he wanted to have an entry of his own. Granted, he has a long history of bad comments, but his Friday entry was definitely threatening to break the stupid meter.
As we reported, Venezuela is in major chaos, with Nicolas Maduro declaring victory in an election that many believe was actually won by his opponent Edmundo González. The U.S. is recognizing González as the winner and Maduro is reportedly in the middle of a crackdown on the opposition.

Here’s what Raskin said in response.
The democratic world must stand up for the rule of law in Venezuela and oppose Maduro’s assault on the electoral process and free speech. The right-wing attack on democratic institutions anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.
Oh, my. And this person is supposed to be involved in making laws for our country?
Community Notes delivered a drubbing to Raskin with a very simple response: “Maduro is a self-proclaimed Marxist.” Yes, he’s destroyed the country with his radical leftist policies that have killed the economy and oppressed the people. It’s a classic leftist failure.
Is Raskin really that oblivious, or is he trying to avoid leftist responsibility for the chaos and gaslight Americans, like the Harris team was for their failed economy with their comment? Either way, it’s dumb because it didn’t work, and it just made him look stupid. Sorry, Jamie, the American people aren’t falling for this.
