Former State Department Spokesperson Marie Harf still can’t admit that former President Joe Biden was unfit for office, despite everything we have learned about the efforts to cover up the former president’s cognitive decline.
During a panel discussion on Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” Kayleigh McEnany introduced the segment, asking Harf about comments the former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor made in 2024 when he said Biden was “fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency.” On Wednesday, the House announced that it would be subpoenaing O’Connor to explain under oath his statement.

“Well, what’s interesting, the quotes you just read generally refer to physical health,” Harf replied. “And we all saw Biden’s physical health deteriorating in front of us. Right?”
Another person on the panel interjected, “and mental,” but Harf wasn’t willing to go there.
“Well, that’s a separate question,” Harf responded. “And I have not seen evidence, presented by a doctor or someone else, that would say Joe Biden was not mentally able to do the job.”
McEnany jumped in and asked if Harf had watched the disastrous presidential debate between Biden and President Donald Trump.
Harf admitted she had, but clung tight to the thinking that what she and everyone else witnessed wasn’t a “mental issue.” Yes, really.
Things then got heated on the panel when Harf suggested Trump wouldn’t want his doctor to have to explain the president’s physical. McEnany hit back and said she didn’t think “Trump was hiding anything.”
McEnany reminded Harf that Trump took a cognitive test and said Biden can’t say the same. “Kevin O’Connor wouldn’t even give one to Biden,” she added.
McEnany then got the last word in when she said that Harf “was the last Democrat on planet earth dying on this hill of Biden was perfectly mentally capable and Trump is not. And polling, by the way, reflects that your own party didn’t want him to run.”
Harf shouts out, “I believe it,” in response to Biden being mentally capable of doing the job when he was president.
Well, you know the saying…you can lead a Harf to water, but you can’t make them drink. As the Fox News host pointed out, the former State Department spox is one of the only Democrats still saying Biden was mentally fit for the job.

Tapper has claimed the “bottom line is the White House was lying to the press,” “members of their own cabinet,” “White House staffers,” and everyone else about “how bad” Biden’s decline had become.
ESPN host Stephen A. Smith weighed in on Tapper’s claims and said that he warned Democrats two years ago because he could see Biden’s deterioration and was “vilified for it” and “excoriated” for suggesting Biden wasn’t going to make it to the Democratic National Convention or shouldn’t be the Democratic presidential nominee.
“My point to you is that we saw it; how did Jake Tapper not see it?” Smith said about Biden’s decline. “And as he [Tapper] continues to speak about all of this. Where’s his mea culpa, because I don’t see it.”
“The hatred for [President Donald] Trump was so deep that folks didn’t want to report on his competition in any kind of negative way,” he added. “Then if the hatred for Trump was so deep that you were willing to compromise your own professional integrity, whether you’re a journalist, whether you’re a pundit, a commentator, a politician, etc., I mean damn, who are we to believe now?”
