I’m pretty sure I am not the only one who, if the truth be told, is having a ton of fun watching the Democrats implode. They have brought it on themselves and have no one else to blame except those they see in the mirror. However, in all fairness, a few have done their best trying to warn their party that being on the 20 side of 80-20 issues is not going to win elections. One of those who can see what will happen if Democrats continue down this path is longtime Democrat strategist, the Ragin’ Cajun himself, James Carville. But when it comes to one of the most tired, worn-out Democrat tropes, that “Donald Trump is Hitler,” even Carville can’t help himself.

On Tuesday, Carville appeared on the Fox News Channel with host Will Cain. James Carville might be a lot of things, but a few things he is not are stupid and unafraid to go where he knows he will not be thrown softball questions. Cain didn’t waste any time launching into Carville and others, insisting on never-ending comparisons of Trump to Hitler. On a recent podcast appearance, Carville, in what is now just a knee-jerk reaction from Democrats, stated that he believes that Trump has the potential to become Hitler. It was a response to a New York Times Op-Ed written by “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator Larry David, writing about comedian Bill Maher’s dinner with Trump. Cain gave props to Carville for coming on Fox News and criticizing his own party. But then hit him with some tough love, saying,

“I do want to press you on one thing. And I appreciate that you have criticized the left wing of your party, James. I truly do. And I think that you’re right when you say leaning into gender identity and pronouns and the feminine nature of the current message of Democrats is a loser. I have to tell you, James: I also think it’s a loser to do something that you have done. And that is to constantly equate President Trump to Hitler. Constantly equate this to an authoritarian regime. I think you’ve got to find a positive message and stop hyperventilating over the dystopian future of America.”

It was here that Carville just couldn’t resist the temptation of the Hitler comparison and was off and running. He launched into claims that Trump’s first wife, Ivana, in a 1990 deposition, stated that Trump kept a book of a collection of Hitler’s speeches on a bedside table. Isn’t it convenient that Ivana Trump is no longer with us to verify that? He claimed that, “Trump has said that he admires Hitler’s — the generals that Hitler had. He wished he had more generals like Hitler does.” Cain’s response, “I think the vast majority of that is hyperventilating, it is half-truths reported from media.”

But Carville wasn’t about to waste a golden opportunity to suggest that Trump is a white supremacist. He then brought up the report that in November of 2022, Trump had dinner with rapper Kanye West, now known as “Ye,” and white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Cain only half-conceded on the dinner story, saying, “The half-truth I would say, James, is yes, he did have dinner with Nick Fuentes. He said he did not know who he was or what he stood for.”

But as we have come to learn, when Democrats think they have a juicy “Trump is Hitler” comparison, they are like a dog with a bone. James Carville was no different and replied, “There’s a lot of evidence to say that Trump, shall we say, has a favorable view of some of these things. And I will continue to bring it up.”

Democrats still have not figured out that while “Trump is Hitler” might work with their rabid left-wing base, it will not work on the majority of Americans. Will Cain rightly pointed out that Americans don’t believe it, and “it doesn’t resonate with their lives.” But when you are on the losing end of almost every issue that is important to the American people and “Trump is Hitler” is all you’ve got, well…you can bet we haven’t heard the last of it.

The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
