How Bad Are Things for Dems? Another Politician Flees the Party Because of Their Extremism

The American people are not happy with the Democrats right now, which is one of the reasons their poll numbers are so low.

As we’ve reported, a lot of folks who previously would have been considered part of the Democratic coalition voted for President Donald Trump in November.

Part of that is because of how extreme the party has become and how they’re no longer focusing on the kitchen table issues that matter to Americans.

They’re losing even long-term Democratic politicians like Kentucky state Democratic Sen. Robin Webb, who represents Kentucky’s 18th District. Webb said she wasn’t leaving the Democratic Party; they “left me.”

Longtime Kentucky state Democratic Sen. Robin Webb, has flipped to the GOP saying that the Democrat party had left her.

“First and foremost, I’m a mother, a rancher and a lawyer with deep personal and professional roots in Kentucky’s coal country,” Webb explained. “As the Democratic Party continues its lurch to the left and its hyperfocus on policies that hurt workforce and economic development in my region, I no longer feel it represents my values.

“It has become untenable and counterproductive to the best interests of my constituents for me to remain a Democrat.”

She’s been in office since 1998, so that’s a big move to make after all that time. That leaves only six Democrats left in the Kentucky Senate, with 32 Republicans.

The GOP welcomed her.

“Like countless other Kentuckians, [Webb] has recognized that the policies and objectives of today’s Democratic Party are simply not what they once were, and do not align with the vast majority of Kentuckians,” Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman Robert Benvenuti said.

Meanwhile, the nonsensical Democratic statement in response was a big clue as to why she left. It’s just not grounded in reality.

The Kentucky Democrat Party responded to Webb’s move, saying she “isn’t a Democrat.”

“Senator Webb has chosen to join a political party that is currently working around the clock to take health care away from over a million Kentuckians, wipe out our rural hospitals, take food off the table of Kentucky families and take resources away from our public schools,” Kentucky Democratic Party Chair Colmon Elridge told Fox News Digital. “If those are her priorities, then we agree: she isn’t a Democrat.”

First, what slugs for attacking her like that after she worked with them for so long. It shows how classless they are. But then, too, all of that is ridiculous propaganda, and that’s why people are rejecting them. They can’t present anything positive they have to offer; they can only spew unhinged attacks.

Welcome, Sen. Webb, and we hope you can get good things done for the benefit of people in Kentucky with the Republican Party.

Editor’s Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
