Is The Truth Out There?

I honestly have to say that I had only two encounters with the “paranormal.”

My first experience was as a wildland firefighter.

When I wasn’t working, burn permits were my main occupation. The person would have to check the clearing index and call central dispatch before lighting it up. I also hoped I wouldn’t have to return to get an escaped flame.

I was working on a fuels-related project when I got a call asking me for a permit.

You’re likely to have heard the name UFO Ranch from a television station that used to show history programs.

I promised the caller that I would arrive early in the morning.

Was it difficult to believe?

Now, it’s been a decade and a half since I started work in a city desk job. I used to go to the mountains and sky every morning, then settled down in my cube farm area. I was not abducted. I also didn’t have a mystical connection with visitors from beyond. And unlike Richard Dreyfuss, I didn’t build a replica Devils Tower using mashed potatoes.

It is certain that my sightings were extraterrestrial. Utah has many military bases and operations. Therefore, it is possible that my UFO sightings could have an earthly explanation. This was a great marketing tool to sell condos or used cars.

The real question is: Why are we spending taxpayer money on this?

Unsolved mysteries are infinitely more interesting than solved mysteries. Maybe people see only logs and currents.
