Jon Meacham is a presidential historian and was behind President Joe Biden calling MAGA Republicans a “threat” to America’s speech.
On Saturday, three Politico reporters reported that Meacham was involved in framing the speech. This story had been in development for three weeks. The New York Times reported that Meacham previously worked with Biden on speeches.
Biden used many references to the US’ “soul” in his speech. It was published in 2018.
Biden stated, “MAGA forces are going to take this country backwards,” before a red-lit Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Thursday night.
He said, “They promote authoritarian leaders, and they fan flames for political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, pursuit of justice to rule the law to to the very soul of this country. ”
Meacham was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2009 for his biography on populist president Andrew Jackson. He has praised President Biden’s far-left Democrat agenda.
Meacham spoke glowingly of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill Biden signed in November. It would be Biden’s Legacy, she claimed, as the 1956 Federal Aid Highway Act did for President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
