Leftists have been talking for days about March 29 as the day for protests against Tesla, both around the country and in Europe.
You may recall this wild moment from Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) , with her saying the 29th is her birthday, and all she wanted for her birthday is for Elon Musk “to be taken down”:
I expect the local police and the FBI to be out in force at Tesla locations to protect from any potential crazies.
We wrote about how there was a Democrat state legislator in New York trying to use legislation that would essentially target Tesla.
Now, there’s more from New York Democrats. NY state Senator Brad Holman-Sigal and Assemblyman Micah Lasher said they will be joining protesters outside of a Manhattan Tesla on Saturday to announce new legislation to “investigate any waste, fraud and abuse of NYS resources by Tesla”:
They said “if necessary” they will cancel contracts with Tesla if they didn’t meet their contractual obligations, and claw back the money from Tesla.
That sure looks like political targeting of an American company with American employees to me. Imagine, this is what they are focused on, rather than real fraud and waste. This is what they are spending their time on, rather than rising crime or the illegal alien problems they have. Imagine all the things they could do. But they appear to have no unsolved problems; if they cancel contracts with Tesla, they could hurt New York workers. It’s all about the politics and going after Musk; so much for the workers.
Here’s a New Yorker who is registered Democrat, basically telling the Democrats to read the room.
