New Poll Shows That CNN / MSNBC Viewers Are Ill-Informed About Biden White House Troubles

Amazing what you learn about what people know and do NOT know in the blink of an eye.

In the past two or three years, I have become more of a connoisseur of the written word, assisted by short video or audio clips rather than actually watching the evening news or having a news channel on all day. If I do watch a news show live, I am biased toward “Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox News.” I feel that the show in the hour format that it’s been given tries to cover stories from all angles in the relatively short amount of time that they are given.

I was shocked, though, when I read this report here and learned that those that are on the liberal or progressive side or maybe not as “up to speed” on the news of the day during this turbulent time in our country.

From that report…

A comprehensive new poll from the Media Research Center finds voters who rely on CNN and MSNBC are significantly less informed about a host of important issues: from the lack of security on the border and the impact of Joe Biden’s economic policies; to the financial scandals swirling around the President and his family, including suggestions his administration interceded to get his son “preferential treatment” during the tax fraud investigation of Hunter Biden.

On every issue we examined, a majority of those who reported mainly watching Fox News or Newsmax said they recalled hearing about the various news stories we polled, while never more than 50 percent of those who watched CNN and MSNBC had the same information. Depending on the issue, the gap between the two groups averaged 23.5 percent, a huge deficit in the factual information of viewers of liberal cable news.

MRC President L. Brent Bozell III reacted: “This poll is just more evidence of the leftist media’s corrupt election interference. It’s no surprise that voters who rely on these leftist cable networks for their news are vastly less aware of Joe Biden’s multiple scandals and policy disasters. CNN and MSNBC know exactly what they’re doing, which is to bury the truth of Biden’s failures in order to save Joe Biden from himself.”

How could it be possible that on God’s green earth, the people who are constantly telling us how smart and righteous they are actually are not fully informed of all of the issues and scandals that are surrounding the current White House occupant? Could it be possible that their feelings of self-righteousness and overwhelming smugness have overridden the part of their brain that is supposed to engage with what common sense they have?

Possibly.

However, I do seem to recall that one liberal of the classic variety in the mold of Jack Kennedy or Hubert Humphrey has been issuing warnings about his side not paying attention to the slant of news broadcasts on CNN or MSNBC.

That person is Bill Maher.

Now just to make sure that nobody misunderstands me, I know exactly the type of liberal Bill Maher is.

He’s the old-school type that believes there is no government program—no matter how inefficient it is—that should be canceled because it is well intended.

The thing that sets Maher apart, though, is that he is a zealot about embracing free speech and supporting the First Amendment and has no problem becoming a pariah among those who share most of his worldview by speaking out against the popular talking points of his side.

Here is a perfect example of him calling out his side, which was covered by my colleague Nick Arama in this article about Maher and Rob “Meathead” Reiner: Bill Maher Levels Rob Reiner With Priceless Reaction Over Hunter Biden Laptop Conspiracy

Reiner revealed how ignorant he was on the laptop story, as well. Maher’s response to that ignorance was just priceless–and so on target.

“They buried the Hunter Biden story before the election because they were, like, ‘We can’t risk having the election thrown to Trump. We’ll tell them after the election.’

“And we know for a fact that that’s what they did?” Reiner responded.

“Of course!” Maher double down. “You don’t follow this?”

“I don’t know what they did,” Reiner replied.

“I know because you only watch MSNBC,” Maher quipped

I would suggest you click on Nick’s article if you get a chance and watch the brief video clip where Reiner is absolutely befuddled that Hunter and his laptop are a thing being reported anywhere.

These people who have been for decades paid handsomely by pretending to be other people have fooled themselves and many others into believing that their feelings matter more than facts. That Reiner and his ilk are absolutely clueless and befuddled shines a spotlight on the MRC poll.

Honestly, take a moment to marvel that there is a divide ideologically about news divisions.

How absolutely insane is that?

You can have commentators that of course have differing opinions and goals policy-wise, but the news divisions of CNN, MSNBC, and NPR tilt to the left and will flat-out not report a story about anything to do with the Bidens’ ludicrous behavior. That action by the news media is meant to only protect the people that they believe are more ideologically centered with them, which does the public no favor.

Yet you damn well know that if Donald Trump Jr had dropped off a laptop to be fixed and forgot about it and was involved in 10 percent of what Hunter’s been accused of, Rob Reiner would know all about it just watching CNN or MSNBC.

This latest poll, unfortunately, shows that this country, even though it is blessed with the resources to gain knowledge, and the ability to fact-check almost instantaneously, is slipping down a slope of ignorance which I fear we will never recover from.

I do have a slim hope that people like Maher and a few others who are willing to stand up and take the arrows and chastise their side to do better and not be afraid of challenging themselves to learn more will influence others.

I hope more on the conservative side aim to do the same.
