The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday that the Trump administration is getting rid of the Quiet Skies program, which they allege was abused by the Biden team to go after political rivals (and protect allies).

The Transportation Security Administration runs the program, which was designed to detect and monitor suspicious passengers within our aviation system. There’s no hearing for flagged individuals, and in fact, most don’t know that they’re even on it.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted the announcement to social media and noted that the controversial program has not stopped a single terrorist attack.

Noem’s tweet continues:

DHS and TSA have uncovered documents, correspondence, and timelines that clearly highlight the inconsistent application of Quiet Skies. The program, under the guise of “national security,” was used to target political opponents and benefit political allies of the Biden Administration.

In addition to conducting our own internal investigation, I am calling for a full and thorough Congressional investigation to uncover further corruption through this program.

TSA will continue performing important vetting functions to stop security threats and ensure the safety of the American traveler. REAL ID, implemented on May 7 of this year, will further help bolster TSA security.

The Trump Administration will return TSA to its true mission of being laser-focused on the safety and security of traveling public. This includes restoring the integrity, privacy, and equal application of the law for all Americans.

The program came under intense criticism in 2024 when Federal Air Marshal whistleblowers revealed that Tulsi Gabbard, then a private citizen but now Director of National Intelligence, had been enrolled in the program after criticizing then-President Joseph R. Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris. Meanwhile, news broke on Wednesday that the husband of Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) had been put on the list because he had traveled with a person with possible ties to terrorists—but the senator called in some favors and not only got him removed from scrutiny, but managed to get him expedited screening for future flights.

It all smells pretty Swampy, doesn’t it?

The Curious Story of How a Democrat Senator’s Husband Jumped From TSA Watch List to VIP Traveler

As I exclusively reported, Tulsi Gabbard and thousands of conservatives were added to this list.

I am currently suing TSA over this. Quiet Skies was launched in 2010.

The program has never caught a single terrorist.

Noem said the program cost $200 million a year, was ineffective, and had become simply a political tool. “It is clear that the Quiet Skies program was used as a political rolodex of the Biden administration,” she said in a statement. She also urged Congress to investigate.

Is there anyone still left who doesn’t think the Biden administration was the most corrupt in history?
