Once Again, the Trump Administration Snags a Win From SCOTUS on USAID Funding Case

Well, I predicted a Friday ruling from the Supreme Court — it’s just that I predicted it in the case involving Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook. Instead, we got a ruling from the high court on the USAID funding case. (Which isn’t to say we won’t also get one on Cook’s case — there’s still time left in the day.)

Once again, the court handed the Trump administration a win, this time by formally granting the administration’s application for a stay of D.C. District Judge Amir Ali’s September 3rd preliminary injunction, which blocked the Trump administration from withholding previously appropriated USAID funding.

The Supreme Court previously granted an administrative (temporary) stay of that injunction, as to “funds that are subject to the President’s August 28, 2025 recission proposal currently pending before Congress.”

D.C. District Judge Once Again Enjoins Trump Admin From Withholding Appropriated USAID Funding

With Friday’s ruling, the court has now stayed the lower court injunction pending disposition of the matter on appeal. The per curiam (unsigned) order is brief, but sets out the majority’s reasoning for granting the stay (emphasis mine):

On September 3, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia entered a preliminary injunction directing the Executive to obligate roughly $10.5 billion of appropriated aid funding set to expire on September 30. Of that $10.5 billion, $4 billion was proposed to be rescinded in a “special message” transmitted pursuant to the Impoundment Control Act. See 2 U. S. C. §681 et seq. After the District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit denied stays of that order, the Government filed this application to stay the District Court’s injunction. The application for stay presented to THE CHIEF JUSTICE and by him referred to the Court is granted. The Government, at this early stage, has made a sufficient showing that the Impoundment Control Act precludes respondents’ suit, brought pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act, to enforce the appropriations at issue here. The Government has also made a sufficient showing that mandamus relief is unavailable to respondents. And, on the record before the Court, the asserted harms to the Executive’s conduct of foreign affairs appear to outweigh the potential harm faced by respondents. This order should not be read as a final determination on the merits. The relief granted by the Court today reflects our preliminary view, consistent with the standards for interim relief.

The District Court’s September 3, 2025 order granting a preliminary injunction in case Nos. 1:25–cv–400 and 1:25–cv–402 is stayed as to the funding subject to the President’s August 28 special message, pending the disposition of the Government’s appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari, if such writ is timely sought. Should the petition for a writ of certiorari be denied, this stay shall terminate automatically. In the event certiorari is granted, the stay shall terminate upon the sending down of the judgment of this Court.

And once again, the court’s liberal justices dissented from the ruling. Justice Elena Kagan penned the dissent, and Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson joined her in it.

As noted in the court’s order, this is not a final disposition of the case. It simply means that Judge Amir’s September 3rd ruling (enjoining the administration from withholding the funding) is paused while the issue makes its way through the appellate process. Also, this ruling applies only to the funds that were subject to President Trump’s August 28 rescission proposal, i.e., the $4 billion.

However, it does signify a win for the administration in terms of its control over funding, and may also add a wrinkle to the tussle over the looming shutdown.

In any event, we’ll keep following the story and bringing you updates as warranted.

U.S. Fighter Jets Intercept Russian Warplanes Near Alaska: ‘Not Seen As a Threat’

U.S. fighter jets on Wednesday responded to intercept Russian warplanes reported near Alaska, according to an update from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

The September 25 press release details the incident, noting that it “detected and tracked two Tu-95s and two Su-35s operating in the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ)” on Wednesday, September, 24 2025.

In turn, NORAD responded with “an E-3, four F-16s, and four KC-135 tankers to positively identify and intercept in the Alaskan ADIZ.”

However, the North American Aerospace Defense Command Public Affairs made it clear that the Russian aircraft did not technically enter U.S. or Canadian airspace and remained in international airspace.

“This Russian activity in the Alaskan ADIZ occurs regularly and is not seen as a threat,” it emphasized.

The press release notes that ADIZ is in close proximity to sovereign airspace and “is a defined stretch of international airspace that requires the ready identification of all aircraft in the interest of national security.”

This is not the first time this has happened, as a very similar occurrence was reported last month, as they detected a IL-20 COOT reconnaissance aircraft flying through the ADIZ. In turn, NORAD sent “two F-16 fighter jets, an E-3 Sentry radar plane and two refueling tankers.”

However, in that incident as well, the Russian aircraft never entered sovereign airspace.

It should be noted that NORAD also detected Russian military aircraft flying close to the coast of Alaska in July as well, although it made clear that it was “not seen as a threat” either.

Argentina’s Javier Milei Warns Against Mass Migration, Reckless Spending at the U.N.

Spencer Platt/Getty Images

President of Argentina Javier Milei warned that nations that adopt policies that bring the “comfort of the present,” such as uncontrolled public spending and mass migration, while ignoring future consequences are “incinerating their legacy” during his Wednesday speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Milei dedicated much of his speech to illustrate the problem of politicians who enact present-day policies in favor of gaining more votes without measuring what dire consequences it may have in the future.

Wednesday marked Milei’s second U.N. speech. A year ago, in 2024, Milei torched the international organization in his remarks, stating that, while the U.N. achieved its original purpose of stopping a new world war, it has since then become “a leviathan of multiple tentacles that wants to decide not just what every state or nation should do, but how all the citizens of the world should live.”

The Argentine president reiterated the criticisms and said that although Argentina believes in the U.N.’s original purpose, it will not accompany the curtailment of individual or commercial freedoms, or violation of the natural rights of citizens of member states — an assertion he stressed using one of his widely-known phrases, “it is better to tell an uncomfortable truth than a comfortable lie.”

In that sense, he explained that the world is “stuck in the comfort of the present” and that, since “discomfort detracts from the votes and power of those who assume it, leaders prefer to do everything in their power to maintain the inherited status quo, even at the cost of future consequences, setting fire to the future to keep the present warm.”

“Thus, contemporary states have entered into a very complex dynamic that is difficult to reverse, in which the incentives of both the population and politicians tend to favor distributing today’s wealth over generating tomorrow’s wealth,” Milei said. “At all times, decision-makers are faced with the choice of either preserving the legacy entrusted to them or destroying it. This legacy can be accumulated wealth, productive capacity, laws, or anything that serves the common good.”

“In general, if they incinerate their legacy, if they opt for comfort, they will reap great present benefits, but suffer even greater future costs. If I have savings today, I lose them tomorrow. If they keep them, on the other hand, they preserve growth and prosperity, both for themselves and for future generations,” he continued.

Milei delivered his words days after Argentine lawmakers hindered Milei’s economic recovery plan by overturning presidential vetoes of bills, forcing the government to increase public spending while jeopardizing the nations’ fiscal balance — one of the most inflexible pillars of his recovery program.

Milei explained to his audience that it is necessary to find a balance so that “today’s bread does not mean hunger for tomorrow,” ensuring a sustained economic growth — but warned that respecting said principles is not in the individual interests of politicians who gain power by enlarging the state at the expense of citizens’ freedoms. Milei further explained that, for politicians, it will always be profitable to “sacrifice the future on the altar of the present” through policies that may generate votes, but at the cost of sacrificing a future of greater growth.

“The greatest manifestation of this is in those countries that show an orgy of increased public spending, since the state does not create wealth, but rather steals it and destroys it. In this scheme, politicians gain power in two ways: they legitimize themselves democratically and obtain more resources to spend,” Milei explained. “In other words, politicians have a double incentive to encourage this intergenerational betrayal. Because even though everyone loses in the future, in the present they gain more than anyone else.”

“And in this sense, if a great man is one who plants trees whose shade he knows he will never enjoy, then one who cuts down the trees that others planted in order to build his seat of power is a miserable man, in short, a despicable man. This is the great evil and the great trap to which almost all nations are slowly succumbing,” he continued.

Milei said that said problem is not a strictly economic policy one, but it can also be seen elsewhere, and pointed to indiscriminate migration through open border policies for political reasons — which he called an “invasion.”

Milei praised President Donald Trump and said that Trump’s economic, trade, and migration policies aim to reverse a course that was leading the United States to a catastrophe. He also complimented Trump for what he described as a “clean-up” of U.S. state institutions captured by leftist factions.

“And we know that a catastrophe in the United States is a global catastrophe. His firm and successful policy of curbing illegal immigration makes this abundantly clear,” Milei said. “He understands that he must do what is necessary, even if many people don’t like it, before it’s too late. In other countries, for example, it is already too late for this decision.”

“Not only that, but he is also carrying out an unprecedented restructuring of the terms of international trade, a task of titanic proportions that goes to the heart of the global economic system, because this system was predating on the industrial heartland of his country and plunging it into an unprecedented debt crisis,” he continued.

Milei met with President Trump on Tuesday. Trump, in a Truth Social post, pointed out that Milei inherited a “total mess with horrible inflation” from the preceding socialist administration, “much like Crooked Joe Biden, the WORST President in the History our Nation.” Trump said that he looks forward to continuing working closely with Milei, and described him as a “very good friend, fighter, and winner” before giving him his “complete and total” endorsement for reelection. Milei publicly thanked Trump for his friendship and for the “extraordinary gesture.”

On Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the U.S. is ready to help Argentina and its people, with both countries currently in talks for a $20 billion swap line with the Argentine Central Bank, as well as other measures such as purchasing Argentine U.S. dollar bonds and government debts.

Milei concluded his speech by suggesting reforms to the U.N. and rejecting episodes of leftist political violence around the world. Milei also called for the United Kingdom to resume bilateral talks over the Falkland Islands, and for the release of all hostages taken by Hamas in Gaza.

The Argentine president also made special mention of the case of Argentine gendarme Nahuel Gallo, who remains unjustly detained by the Venezuelan Maduro regime since last year under conditions of forced disappearance. Milei called for the international community to support Argentina and demand the release of Gallo.

Trouble Brewing for Starbucks – Chain Announcing Store Closures

0
AP Photo/Bebeto Matthews

Some years ago, when my mother was still around, my three sisters took her out for a day on the town – shopping, lunch, and so on. Their first stop was at a Starbucks. My three sisters went through first, ordering typically fancy Starbucks coffees with mocha sprinkles, caviar, truffles, and whatever else that expensive chain could put on a cup of java. When my Mom, a child of the Great Depression, finally got to the counter, she asked plaintively, “Can I just get a cup of black coffee?”

She did – but then my sister let slip the receipt, and when my frugal Mom saw the price for what Starbucks passed off as a cup of black coffee, she swore to never set foot in a Starbucks again – and she never did. Dad’s first self-appointed task every morning was to brew a pot of Folger’s, and that remained their habit for the rest of their lives, sans Starbucks.

I don’t know if it’s because of the prices or not, but now it seems Starbucks is closing some stores.

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol announced Thursday that the coffee giant will close underperforming stores in the U.S., cut 900 non-retail partner roles and freeze many open positions as part of its ongoing turnaround strategy.

Niccol said in a letter to employees that during a review of Starbucks’ North America coffeehouse portfolio, the company identified locations that were “unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect” or where it does not see a “path to financial performance.”

The company opens and closes coffeehouses every year for various reasons, including financial performance and lease expirations, but Niccol said that “this is a more significant action” that will impact a larger swath of employees and customers.

Apparently, the company is also opening stores. Granted, these days it seems one can’t swing a cat by the tail without hitting a Starbucks. Even here in the Great Land, in the bigger towns like Wasilla, there seems to be a Starbucks on every corner. There’s one in our grocery store. There’s one in the other grocery store. There’s one on the Parks Highway in the middle of town. In cities in the lower 48, I expect that’s even more the case.

Maybe the market’s oversaturated?

Niccol didn’t disclose how many locations would be impacted, but said employees at the affected stores will be notified this week. Starbucks also plans to inform employees whose roles are being eliminated on Friday.

Niccol said the company has already opened numerous locations over the past year as he launched an aggressive “Back to Starbucks” strategy to help the company reverse its declining traffic and effectively compete in the highly saturated market, which means the company-operated store count in North America will only decline by about 1% in fiscal year 2025.

Hardly a catastrophe for Starbucks, then.

Personally, I don’t get the whole fancy-coffee craze. But then, I’ve never drank coffee at all. Yes, I know; not even in my time in the Army. The Army runs on diesel fuel and coffee, and even then, I never partook. But plenty of people do, and it looks like, despite some retrenching, they’ll still be able to get a Starbucks double-chocolate latte mocha with spotted-owl sprinkles, or whatever other odd things one can stick in a cup of Joe.

Glenn Beck Reveals Erika Kirk’s Surprising Discovery After Her Husband’s Murder

Glenn Beck revealed Erika Kirk’s surprising discovery after Charlie Kirk’s murder, and said it’s proof that Charlie prepared for this, even knowing how awful it would be if he weren’t here to further his mission.

During this week’s “The Glenn Beck Program,” the host said he had spoken to Erika and learned something that should silence doubters out there, and that the Turning Point USA mission he founded would go on, with plans even for dealing with the 2028 election.

MORE: Charlie Kirk’s Still Trying to Heal Country After His Murder With Final Quote in Last Interview

It starts at the 1:24 minute mark in the Facebook video linked here. But it can also be seen in the TikTok video below:

“I mean, I was flying yesterday and I thought, what are the odds that this amazing spiritual giant, who had been prepared, I think, his whole life to do what he did,” Beck said. “Is smart enough to run a large operation. Has the spirit with him and knows how to argue. Knows how to do everything he does.”

“Marries a woman who is exactly like that,” he added. “I mean, she said to me last week, we had a conversation, ‘I think Charlie prepared me for this and I didn’t even know it.’ She said he’s got stacks of his diaries. He wrote a diary every day. And she said I never read his diaries.”

She went on:

“But after he died, I went in and I started to go through his diaries…I started reading them. She said he left me the plans for 2028. He left me the budgets for the future. She said he left this for me. And she is a force to be reckoned with.”

It definitely appears Charlie left the roadmap from now until the 2028 presidential election in these diaries and in his numerous videos that have been surfacing online since his death in order to make sure his mission to save this country remains alive and well even when he is no longer here.

On Thursday, it was announced that Erika Kirk will appear on “The Charlie Kirk Show” on Friday to talk about many things, one of which, I’m sure, will be plans to carry on her late husband’s mission.

As RedState reported, Kirk left two very healing quotes in his final interview, one hour before he was killed by an assassin’s bullet while speaking with college kids on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10.

It initially aired on Fox’s subscription site, Fox Nation, on Friday and later on Fox News over the weekend. The entire interview lasted just a little over half an hour. And before the two men said goodbye, the host asked Charlie, “What is a quote that you live by?” (31:36 minute mark).

Kirk didn’t just leave one but two.

“The first is, not in the bible, This too shall pass,” he added. “But it’s King Solomon’s phrase, which is really amazing when you think about it. Because it’s good no matter what season of life you are in. If you are going through the worst of times, this too shall pass, and things are going to get better. If you are going through the best of times, though, it’s really humbling. This too shall pass. And this shall fade away, because this will not last forever. So, I love that.”

“One of my favorite verses, though, is Romans 8:28,” Kirk continued. “Which it says that God works all things for good for those who love him. It’s a very freeing and liberating verse for those of us that are Christians because we believe when things can be really bad, God is working it for his good, his perfect and pleasing will…And there is a God, and I am not him. And I surrender to his will.”

Thanks, Charlie. We won’t let you down.

Shattered Windows and Targeted Citizens: The Intolerance of the California Left in Action

0
AP Photo/Eric Thayer

Elite-driven outrage culture has turned rhetoric into real risks on California’s streets, created by an environment where social media doesn’t just echo political theater, it amplifies it.

From Sacramento to Los Angeles, citizens are living with the fallout: intimidation normalized, threats brushed off, and responsibility abandoned. This is what happens when words are weaponized.

And while the Left claims the mantle of tolerance, their actions tell a very different story. Just look at what went down last Friday.

In Sacramento, the local ABC affiliate, ABC10, became the backdrop for gunfire in the afternoon. Three bullets shattered the lobby window in a drive-by shooting, sending the community into alarm. Thankfully, no one was injured.

The suspect, 64-year-old Anibal Hernandez-Santana – a former legislative director for the California Federation of Teachers, which contributed $1 million to the campaign supporting Proposition 50 – faces state charges and is now held under a federal statute for interference with broadcast communications.

Politically motivated? Police are still investigating, but the timing makes the context impossible to ignore.

UPDATED: Troubling: Here’s What We Know About the Suspect in Sacramento ABC TV Station Drive-By Shooting

ABC TV Station in Sacramento Hit by Gunfire, One Day After Protest Over Kimmel Suspension

The shooting came one day after a protest over the suspension of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” itself already framed by left-wing media as part of the national discourse following the assassination of Charlie Kirk. That killing escalated political rhetoric to a fever pitch, with conservatives warning of leftist threats and left-leaning activists fanning fears of “violent right-wing extremists.”

Later that same day in Los Angeles, political intimidation struck citizens exercising their First Amendment rights. On Reddit, user FlashyClick2515, aka Magagivesmetheick, posted a copy of a flyer for a Republican club event at Lulu’s Restaurant in Van Nuys, accompanied by a disturbing caption (the post has been removed, but the comments section remains).

The event featured Roxanne Hoge, Chair of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (the largest GOP county party in the nation) as the guest speaker. FlashyClick2515 urged disruption, accusing Hoge of supporting “kidnappings” and “white supremacy,” while shaming the restaurant owner for allowing it:

“We cannot allow a LA resident/republican who backs the kidnappings, who backs white supremacy, to have a nice quiet meeting with no issues. Especially, right next to the Home Depot in Van Nuys that we have been taking huge losses in kidnappings by ice.

The Business owner Mike Camorlina will continue to allow this to happen at his restaurant if we don’t make it known that we don’t accept fascism.

I understand they have the right to gather as all humans, but not undisrupted. I wouldn’t eat there anyway, rats n roaches people. Don’t ask how I know.”

After seeing the post, Hoge contacted law enforcement and went to X:

“@FBILosAngeles I get that people have the right to dislike what I say, but is there no recourse for someone concerned about their personal safety when threatened due to inflammatory and false rhetoric from @MayorOfLA?”

Even Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Jonathan Hatami weighed in:

“Bass, Newsom and most of our elected leaders in LA and CA are responsible for a lot of this. They put this language out everyday. They only care about power and getting re-elected or a new political position. They don’t actual care about all of us living together peacefully and accepting that we have differences and that’s okay.”

While social media fuels rage and the left-wing mob mentality grows unchecked, law enforcement admits it can only act after the fact. Fortunately, there was no protest or disruption at the event.

This is not isolated chaos. The Charlie Kirk assassination and the ensuing rhetoric unleashed have exacerbated an atmosphere where anger, fear, and accusations fuel escalation.

In Sacramento, it set the stage for bullets. In Los Angeles, it emboldened the targeting of Republican citizens and business owners. Both are symptoms of a nationwide climate where political speech and online outrage spill over into the streets.

California’s political environment has never been more toxic, threatening, or volatile. Citizens are caught in a storm stoked by elite politicians and media outlets who profit from division.

And California’s leaders? Karen Bass, Gavin Newsom, Maxine Waters, and their allies keep fanning the flames, while hiding behind platitudes about “tolerance” and “civility.”

This is California’s intolerant Left in action.

FBI Urged to Adopt ‘Transgender Ideology-Inspired’ Violence Plan in Fight Against Domestic Terrorism

0
AP Photo/Evan Vucci

As tens of millions of Americans continue to mourn the horrific assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, while also celebrating his life and mission, several conservative groups are urging the FBI to create a new category of “domestic violent extremists” who practice the “potentially unlawful use or threat of force or violence, including incitement of unlawful violence.”

Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, was described by his parents as having lurched to the left over the last year, while also becoming more radically obsessed with the rights of self-described “trans” people. Robinson was reported to be in a relationship with a young man who was in the process of “transitioning” to a woman at the time of Kirk’s assassination.

As reported by Just the News, the Heritage Foundation and its spun-off Oversight Project explained in a four-page memo their proposal to create a new “Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violence and Extremism”:

We and @Heritage call on the @FBI to designate Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violent Extremism (TIVE) as Domestic Terrorism. Sign the petition calling on the FBI to detect, disrupt, and dismantle TIVE domestic terror cells.

My initial thought was “Let’s do this!”

Oversight Project President Mike Howell told Just the News that the proposed addition of the new anti-trans-violence plan can be implemented immediately by the FBI from its blueprint, without congressional action, while emphasizing that TIVE is “not a designation of transgenders per se,” and does not single out people who “identify as transgender, or support LGBT causes or transgenderism” and simply use “offensive and hateful speech,” as long as they remain non-violent.

However, Howell added that transgender and Islamic terrorist ideology share some elements:

There’s recruitment, there’s high-minded academic cover, there’s money and unfortunately there’s violence.

When asked if parents of gender-confused children could be classified under a TIVE designation, Howell told the outlet that those who promote the TIVE worldview and encourage “eliminationist rhetoric” among vulnerable young people are “adding fuel to the fire.”

Trump Admin Launches Investigation of Link Between Psychiatric Drugs and Trans Violence After MN Shooting

Oversight Project also produced a “more contextual” eight-page memo, shared exclusively with Just the News.

As I wrote in a September 17 article, extreme violence — including mass shootings — appears to be a more viable option to a growing number of radicals and their causes, as a way to “settle a score” — whether that score is real, imagined, or delusional. Many are now arguing that radicalized “trans” individuals, or activists who support the cause, “by any means necessary,” increasingly fall into this category.

When asked whether the “domestic terrorist” designation would mean the FBI going undercover on platforms like Discord, Steam, Twitch, and Reddit — the CEOs of which House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) has summoned to a hearing on “radicalization of online forum users” —Howell told the outlet “probably yes,” although he cautioned against narrowing investigative targets.

America is at a tipping point, gang, meaning we’re at a point where we can’t stay where we are; we must get better, or we will get worse. Given the rapidly declining sense of decency and morality on the rabid left, you can take that to the bank.

NC Detention Officer Fooled Around With Antifa – He Found Out

0
AP Photo/Esteban Felix

It’s amazing when you see someone in a position where you would think some brains were required, engaging in an act of compound stupidity. It’s even more amazing when that person is a law enforcement officer, who is making stupid social media posts in support of a group that has only on Monday been designated as a domestic terrorist organization.

Case in point: An Orange County, North Carolina, detention officer has been fired after the discovery of his pro-Antifa stance in several social media posts. That’s as it should be

An employee of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has been terminated from his position as Detention Corporal after a right-wing meme account on Twitter/X exposed social media posts in which Brian D. Edwards identified himself as “antifa” and called for right-wingers to be “thrown in prison” or even sent to the “guillotine.”

He thinks right-wingers should be “thrown in prison?” A prison where, in his fevered imagination, he would be in charge of those prisoners’ care and feeding, presumably.

We should extend our thanks to Sheriff Charles Blackwood for taking this immediate and warranted action.

According to the OCSO, Edwards was suspended on Saturday when the post by Mostly Peaceful Memes went viral and the extremist statements were brought to their attention, and was terminated this morning after the ensuing investigation “confirmed violations of both the Standards of Conduct and the Speech, Expression, and Social Networking sections of the policy manual.”

“We must maintain the public trust as we go about our mission to protect, serve, and treat everyone with dignity and respect,” said Orange County Sheriff Charles Blackwood, a 45-year veteran of the department who was first elected sheriff in 2014.

The next logical step would be to send this guy’s name and photograph to every law enforcement office and agency in the land. Nobody who expresses sympathy for a domestic terror group, a group that has arguably fomented an insurrection against the lawful government of the United States, should ever work in law enforcement again.

Read More: President Trump Makes It Official: Antifa Are Domestic Terrorists

The Next Question: Did Online Radical Groups Know About Charlie Kirk Assassination in Advance?

This Brian Edwards should have known what the consequences would be when he posted lunacy like this:

In one post, Edwards declared “I am antifa,” and that he would “never comply with a fascist regime,” echoing the “antifascist” ideology associated with numerous acts of petty and grand terrorism across the United States, as well as the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk. (Along with this post, Edwards shared a link (to) an anti-Trump folk song he wrote and performed.)

My name is Brian
I am 37 years old
I am in North Carolina
I am Antifa
And I will never comply with a fascist regime.

— Bdedwards87 (@bdedwards87.bsky.social) September 19, 2025

A song? Seriously? That may be the most giggle-inducing part of this whole thing. What really makes this guy look like a below-average intellectual specimen is his apparent lack of understanding that, in an actual fascist regime, he would have been arrested for any of the statements he’s made on social media.

Also, the far-left loony echo chamber Bluesky seems to have been his forum of choice. That should come as a surprise to no one.

Actions have consequences. It’s a happy note that the Antifa-supporting Orange County, North Carolina, Detention Officer Brian D. Edwards has learned this the hard way. And we should direct a grateful tip of the headgear to Sheriff Blackwood for dealing with it, quickly and decisively.

House Passes Shutdown-Averting Spending Bill, Only One Democrat Votes Yes

0
Tom Williams/CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images

The House of Representatives passed a spending bill Friday morning to prevent a government shutdown for another seven weeks with only one Democrat voting supporting the critical bill.

The seven-week continuing resolution (CR) received 217 votes with 213 against it and three members not voting, sending the bill to the Senate.

Endangered Democrat Rep. Jared Golden (ME) was the lone Democrat breaking with party leaders in support of the CR. Golden, one of thirteen Democrats representing a district won by President Donald Trump, is atop many lists of the most endangered House Democrats for the 2026 midterms.

Two Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie (KY) and Victoria Spartz (IN), voted no.

Massie votes no on almost every bill that comes before the House, including many of Trump’s priorities, including the One, Big Beautiful Bill. Spartz, who often changes her mind on key votes at the last minute, has an erratic reputation on Capitol Hill, with her office experiencing more staff turnover than each of her other colleagues.

Trump supported the CR.

Republican Rep. Jeff Shreve (IN) did not vote. Democrat Reps. Adam Gray (CA) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA) also skipped the crucial vote.

Despite no-showing, Perez issued a statement Friday afternoon claiming to support the bill.

Now the bill moves on to the Senate where it faces strong headwinds.

The Senate is expected to vote on two bills: first, a Democrat alternative to the CR that is a non-starter for Republican majorities in the House and the Senate as well as the Republican White House, followed by the House-passed CR. This two-step approach is designed to give appropriators more time to reach a bipartisan deal.

Both bills are likely to fail, with the Senate expected to recess afterward until September 29 — hours before the deadline of October 1.

The short-term CR expires November 21, using a tactic often employed by Congressional leaders to schedule must-pass votes before Thanksgiving or Christmas to encourage recalcitrant members to vote yes and return home for the holidays.

Nolte: Jimmy Kimmel Suspended for Planning to ‘Fan Flames of MAGA’ Even More

According to the far-left Hollywood Reporter, the only person who got Jimmy Kimmel suspended was Jimmy Kimmel.

The same man who celebrated President Donald Trump getting blacklisted and then celebrated Tucker Carlson getting fired at Fox News got himself suspended by his fellow leftists at Disney-ABC.

On Monday, Kimmel violated FCC guidelines that call for serving the public interest by serving the public a steaming pile of disinformation. “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” he said.

By the time Kimmel did his monologue, it was already perfectly clear that Charlie Kirk’s accused assassin was a leftist in a sick relationship with a furry-transsexual.

Knowing this, Kimmel still told the tens of people who still watch his show that the alleged assassin is MAGA.

But it’s not September 9 anymore, and even though ABC/Disney has violated FCC rules for a decade by giving The View and Kimmel two hours of network real estate to smear MAGA every single day without rebuttal, the public assassination of Kirk on September 10 changed everything. We’re done taking it, so podcaster Benny Johnson and others called on FCC chairman Brendan Carr to do his job. Turns out he didn’t have to.

Two of the country’s biggest affiliates, Nexstar and Sinclair, had also had enough. Both told Disney they were done airing a Late Night show aimed at pleasing only Los Angeles and New York when they own dozens of stations in Normal America.

So, per THR, Disney asked Kimmel to address the lie he told in a way that “would take down the temperature.” What he planned to do on Wednesday night instead, the report says, was “going to fan the flames with the MAGA fanbase.”

Someone who works on the show basically confirmed this while claiming to deny it. No, no, this source said, Jimmy was not planning on “making it worse,” but he also “wasn’t kowtowing” to MAGA.

Oh, okay.

By this time, “66 of the roughly 200 affiliate stations had said they would not carry the episode – that’s when ABC announced it was suspending the program[.]”

The left and the fake media are blaming the FCC when the Trump administration has allowed ABC/Disney to brazenly violate the “public interest” clause in the broadcast agreement for five years—four years in Trump’s first term and nearly a year into Trump’s second term. For two unanswered hours a day ABC slags Trump and his supporters.

Arrogant Jimmy Kimmel got himself suspended for one reason—he refused to do the decent and honorable thing.

The affiliates, thankfully, have done the decent and honorable thing, and until Jimmy Kimmel agrees to retract his lie and tell the truth, I hope they stand by their decision. I don’t care if Kimmel apologizes. But an on-air retraction and correction serve the “public interest.”
