Minnesota Assassin Tears Big Hole in Media’s Portrayal of His Motive, Mentions Tim Walz Again

Vance Boelter, accused of murdering Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and injuring State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, denied political motives in a jailhouse interview, claiming more details about the events leading up to the heinous shootings will emerge if Governor Tim Walz allows their release.

Boelter’s cryptic statement will no doubt spark intense speculation about what information he might be alluding to. Still, one thing is sure, based on his comments – the assassin has an incredibly tenuous relationship with reality.

As RedState reported last month, Boelter went on a shooting spree on June 14th, and authorities launched an expansive manhunt to catch him. He would finally be apprehended later in the weekend.

As is often the case in tragic situations such as this, the media launched into their theories as to the shooter’s motive. Naturally, they landed on broadly blaming Republicans, with some major outlets pointing a direct finger at President Donald Trump.

Democrats joined in on the narrative, with Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) calling Boelter a “hate-filled right winger,” and former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D-umber than a Stump) telling MSNBC that the President had “given the permission structure for this reality” of political violence.

That’s right, the guy who stared down multiple assassination attempts due to unhinged rhetoric from the media and the resistance party is supposedly the guy who lit the fuse on political violence. *Eyeroll*

Boelter has now spoken to the New York Post from his jail cell, and insists neither Trump nor his pro-life views had anything to do with the assassinations. And he even hinted that Walz might try to keep details of his motives under wraps.

“You are fishing and I can’t talk about my case…I’ll say it didn’t involve either the Trump stuff or pro-life,” he told the outlet through the Sherburne County Jail messaging system.

“I am pro-life personaly [sic] but it wasn’t those,” Boelter continued. “I will just say there is a lot of information that will come out in future that people will look at and judge for themselves that goes back 24 months before the 14th. If the gov ever let’s [sic] it get out.”

Minnesota Shooter’s ‘Hit List’ Revealed and Leads to More Questions Than Answers

Why would Walz want to keep the assassin’s motivations under wraps?

As RedState reported, the media narrative on Trump’s rhetoric being a motivating factor shriveled up pretty quickly after a letter written by Boelter had been recovered from his vehicle, where he made the wild claim that he had to kill specific individuals – including Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) – to clear a path for Walz to run for the United States Senate himself.

Boelter, it has been reported, was appointed to a government workforce board by Walz. There is minimal indication that their relationship extended beyond that fact.

“Certain details of that letter were leaked out that probably painted one kind of a picture, but a lot more important details that were in that letter were not leaked out,” Boelter claimed.

It seems relatively clear that the alleged assassin is toying with the media, seeking attention by hinting at a more nefarious plot behind the scenes. As RedState’s Bonchie wrote regarding the letter, “Boelter is just an insane person.”

That said, Bonchie added:

Walz obviously knew about what was in the letter from day one, given that it was found almost immediately in the car abandoned by Boelter. Yet, he and his Democrat colleagues still spent days insinuating the motive was related to right-wing rhetoric.

You know darn well that if the media and Democrats were able to continue smearing the right as being responsible for these assassinations and attempted murders, they’d be covering this story 24/7. Instead, you haven’t heard much about Boelter since that letter and his strange hit list were found.

Boelter went on to claim that his “immune system is failing” because he’s being held in inhumane conditions in jail. He also upped the crazy by citing a Biblical passage about loving thy neighbors when asked to remark on his victims.

Are LGBTQ Rights and Contraceptives in Danger With the Repeal of Roe?

0

The left warned that ending abortion was just the beginning, prior to Roe v. Wade’s Dobbs decision being made. “Right-wing extremists” will target LGBTQ rights like gay marriage and legal contraceptives.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in support of Dobbs’ majority and suggested that any decisions made on the basis of “due process”, might be reexamined.

Thomas stated, “In future trials, we should consider all of the Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell.”

Griswold legalized contraception without any restrictions, Lawrence tossed out laws criminalizing same-sex relationships, and Obergefell recognized a right for gays to marry. Are the left’s nightmares about the end of Roe coming true?

Not hardly.

The Hill:

Thomas’ comments are a worst-case scenario for liberal critics. However, it is not clear if the other conservative justices will be willing to go so far as the court’s most senior member.

Alito stated in the majority opinion that his reasoning only applies to abortion, and rejected any claims that Dobbs’ rationale could be extended to Griswold Lawrence or Obergefell.

Alito wrote, “Nothing in the opinion should be understood as casting doubt on precedents which do not concern abortion.”

There will be conservative groups that argue that Dobbs allows for the repeal of contraceptive laws and gay rights. They won’t get very far.

Alito used the same reasoning to overturn Roe with other precedents which legalize gay marriage and contraceptives. He explained this in his well-written opinion.

“We also explained why this is so: Rights regarding contraception, same-sex relationships, and abortion rights are inherently different because the former (as we have highlighted) only includes what Roe & Casey called ‘potential lives. ‘”

What about Thomas’s concurring statement that other due process cases need to be looked at? A concurrence is of very little legal weight. Alito’s majority opinion is what all six justices endorsed on these matters. Thomas’s opinion, while it is a valid opinion, is still just that: an opinion.

The liberal justices pointed out Thomas’s agreement to warn about other rights that were under threat.

Thomas’ consent was used by the liberal dissenters to challenge Alito’s assurances, that the court wasn’t putting these precedents at risk by overturning Roe.

“The first problem with the majority’s account comes from JUSTICE THOMAS’s concurrence — which makes clear he is not with the program. In saying that nothing in today’s opinion casts doubt on non-abortion precedents, JUSTICE THOMAS explains, he means only that they are not at issue,” the liberals wrote, as they quoted from Thomas’ concurrence.

Others from the left will most likely point to Thomas’s concurring short rather than Alito’s majority opinion. This is a political battle. Trying to scare women by talking about losing their ability to buy contraception or to fear gay people by claiming the imminent end to gay marriage is really a political tactic.

Before Roe’s Repeal, California’s University System Promised Students Would Still Get Abortions

0

It is not common for a state institution or agency to be a champion of abortion. However, that person is unlikely to live in California.

At the recent Board of Regents meeting, President Michael Drake stated that the University of California system would continue to allow abortion.

This is how Michael put it on May 18th in light of leaked documents indicating that SCOTUS might overturn Roe v. Wade.

“I would like to start this morning by acknowledging a problem that many of us are concerned about. The leaked draft Supreme Court decision from Dobbs in Jackson Women’s Health Organization is here.”

He pointed out that such an event could have a national impact on pregnancies. The president did not suggest that only women could conceive.

“The outcome could have a significant impact on the rights of pregnant women throughout the country.”

Michael stated that California’s state universities were “actively reviewing potential impacts on our community operations and communities” from a Roe reversal. The possible consequences could include “patient care at the state’s hospitals” as well as “research and teaching, public service missions.”

The UC system is not against abortion, so don’t be fooled.

“It is my unqualified belief that everyone should have access to affordable, convenient healthcare services that are accessible to them. This includes reproductive health services.”

You probably know that Roe’s 1973 decision upheld a constitutional right of privacy. However, such a right was not explicitly guaranteed in the nation’s founding document. Michael also called attention to this notion, promising students that they would be able to have abortions.

“We believe that privacy is a fundamental right. Californians have the right to privacy. We will do everything we can to protect them. I want to assure our students that they will have access to comprehensive reproductive services at their campuses’ student health centers. We will also continue our long-standing referral relationships with community facilities to provide abortion services for students who request them.

The shockwaves that rocked the nation Friday were caused by Roe v. Wade being overturned. California will not be tightening its regulations as a result of this decision.

The educational system wanted to make sure everyone was on the same side — not only regarding abortion but also about gender identity.

The culture has transformed significantly. California is the leader in this direction. It’s not the only direction that the country is moving in; it isn’t even the most prominent, especially right now.

Biden Has Flip-Flopped Like a Fish on Abortion Over His Long Career

0

Joe Biden’s unhinged Friday speech about the Supreme Court’s decision not to overturn Roe V. Wade would make it seem like he is bitter and angry, having spent his whole life fighting for abortion rights.

You can wonder who this man is:

Cannot overstate just how far left Biden has moved on abortion

Even in 2006, Biden was saying things like “I do not view abortion as a choice and a right, I think it’s always a tragedy.”pic.twitter.com/cGKIhiTmcz https://t.co/pTfERnEWig

— Zach Parkinson (@AZachParkinson) June 24, 2022

This tweet shows that the man in it isn’t today’s Joe Biden, and he doesn’t have the same opinions.

He states in the 2006 video that he doesn’t consider abortion a right or a choice. We should be focusing on ways to decrease abortions. To achieve this goal, we should all be able to find common ground.

That sounds plausible. He said this in May after a draft was leaked.

I believe that a woman’s right to choose is fundamental, Roe has been the law of the land for almost fifty years, and basic fairness and the stability of our law demand that it not be overturned.

His views are changing over time, and they are difficult to recognize. This is a 2021 New York Times story.

He was 30 years old and a Catholic. Soon, he realized that the Supreme Court had gone far in the Roe case concerning abortion rights. He told an interviewer that a woman should not have the “sole right to decide” what happens to her body.

Biden declined to speak with the Times. However, a spokesperson stated that Biden was a supporter of Roe and had strongly opposed Robert H. Bork’s 1987 nomination to the Supreme Court. You can thank Sen. Edward Kennedy (later) and Biden for that.

In 2019, Biden ran for the Democratic presidential nomination and faced criticism for his support of the Hyde Amendment, which banned federal funding for abortions. Being a man of principle, he quickly dropped his opposition and became the abortion warrior he is today.

Joe Biden wasn’t always so radical. Biden supported the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funds for abortions. Sadly, he dropped his support in 2019 when running for President to appease the far-left. https://t.co/upvIcZob07

— Bryan Steil (@RepBryanSteil) January 28, 2021

Biden is no stranger to flip-flopping—in fact, he looks like a stranded catfish on the issue of crime, where he changes positions depending on which way the wind is blowing. He was hard on crime in 1994 and 1986 but now whines about the effects of the very laws he championed, as if it’s all someone else’s fault. He’s for defunding the police, then he’s against defunding the police — who knows.

We previously wrote that Biden had been “showing Americans who he really is – a feckless leader totally beholden to extreme left special interest groups, who would make this nation oppressive and unrecognizable if left to their own devices.”

It is obvious that Biden’s views shift with political climates. If the winds change, you can be certain that his positions will also change. He is nothing but a coward who stands for absolutely nothing.

Biden Signs Gun Control Bill In Wake Of Deadly Mass Shootings

0

After it passed through Congress in extraordinary haste, President Biden signed the most important gun control legislation in nearly 30 years.

The time is critical. Biden addressed the nation and stated that lives would be saved. “From Columbine to Sandy Hook, Charleston and Orlando, Las Vegas to Parkland El Paso and Atlanta Buffalo, Uvalde and for daily shootings in the streets.

The House approved Friday’s Bipartisan Safer Community Bill with a 234-193 vote. This vote came just one day after the Senate’s 65-33 vote on Thursday.

This law aims to end mass shootings that have plagued the United States over many years.

Last month, many were killed in mass shootings in Buffalo (New York) and Uvalde, Texas.

Ten Senate Republicans and ten Senate Democrats started negotiations to adopt gun control and reduce gun violence in America’s Senate.

The bill was opposed by the House Republicans, which included Kevin McCarthy, but the Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell backed it. He said that the bill would “help make these horrific events less likely while fully upholding Second Amendment Rights for law-abiding citizen.”

This law encourages states to adopt red-flag laws and increase background checks on 18-to-21 year-olds.

18-year-old men were responsible for the Uvalde shooting, which killed 19 children and 2 educators, and the Buffalo shooting, which left 10 dead and three more wounded.

The legislators encouraged states to release previously sealed juvenile records, which could extend the time frame before a gun purchase is allowed.

It is unclear, however, if mass shootings in the past two weeks could be prevented despite the most recent gun control measures.

Both men were 18 years old when they purchased legal AR-15-style rifles. Both of them were exempt from red flag laws.

The most recent provision, which requires states to release juvenile records, could have flagged Payton Gendron (the Buffalo shooter), who was evaluated for mental health concerns in 2021 but dodged any red flags.

Donald Trump Leads Joe Biden In Potential 2024 Matchup

0

According to a McLaughlin & Associates poll, former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in a possible 2024 matchup. The poll asked: “Would you vote for Donald Trump, the Republican Candidate, or Joe Biden the Democratic Candidate, if the general election for president were held today?”

Trump polled 49 percent while Biden was at 44 percent. This is five points less than Trump. Seven percent were undecided.

Trump beat potential 2024 Republican primaries candidates. The poll asked: “Thinking ahead towards the 2024 Republican Primary Election for President, what would you vote for if it were held today between the following candidates?”

Trump won 59 percent of the vote while Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), received only 15%, which is a 44% difference. With seven percent, Mike Pence, former Vice President of the United States, came in third.

According to the poll, 32 percent of potential candidates would be interested in Trump’s 2020 run. Pence was ranked 17th, while Donald Trump Jr. was ranked third with 12 percent.

It is not surprising that Trump has a larger polling edge than Biden. Multiple polls show that Biden is ahead of Trump in a hypothetical head to head: here, here and here.

Concerning Biden’s run for president in 2024, 50% said that Vice President Kamala Hariri is “likely,” to succeed Biden before his first term ends. Only 40% said Harris is unlikely to assume the presidency. Ten percent of respondents refused to answer.

The poll showed that Harris would win only five percent of votes if the 2024 Democrat primaries were held today. Biden won 23 percent. Harris placed fourth overall. Harris’s percentage will rise to 13 percent if Biden doesn’t run for reelection but it will still be six points behind Michelle Obama.

From June 17-22, 1,000 people were surveyed. There was no margin for error.

Fox News Analyst Remembers Brother, 18, Fatally Shot In Chicago

0

Fox News analyst Gianno Caldwell is searching for answers after Christian, his brother, was shot to death in Chicago on Friday.

Caldwell, a Chicago native said that he is looking for details from the police in order to find out who killed my brother. “[M]y little brother didn’t have a chance.”

Chicago Police Department (CPD), Friday reported that an 18-year-old male victim was killed by a gunshot to the torso in a shooting at 11400 block S. Vincennes Ave. The second victim, a 31-year-old male victim, was still listed in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot to the torso on Saturday morning. A 25-year-old female victim was also at the scene and received a gunshot injury to her leg. According to CPD, she is still in “fair” condition.

According to CPD, an unidentified male offenders entered a black sedan and fled eastbound from the scene after the shooting. CPD does not know if there are other suspects. CPD cannot share additional information as detectives are still investigating the incident.

Fox analyst, Michael Fox, said that he wanted the perpetrators in the death of his brother to turn themselves in and be brought to justice. However, he added that he hopes they can also be rehabilitated.

Caldwell stated, “Then one of these young men can turn their lives around and offer hope to others young men if there’s any hope of rehabilitation.” I would not want to see street justice or violence against those who murdered my little brother. However, I want them to be brought to justice. As a Christian who believes forgiveness and who believes there is another way for people who could do this, justice is what I want from Christian my little brother. That’s it.”

Caldwell and his brother were just two of nine siblings who were “really, really, really poor” as children. Caldwell’s mother was addicted to crack cocaine and Caldwell and his brother were placed with his grandmother, while Caldwell went to rehab.

“I was like his father because he had never known his father.” My three youngest brothers were my children, so I thought — they were mine. These are my boys, so I took care. Caldwell stated that he financially supported them, and continues to do so for my family.

Fox News’ political analyst said that he never thought this would happen for one of his siblings. His siblings were witnesses to violent crimes including the shooting of one brother in 2017. “His best friend also died in his arms,” he said. Caldwell never thought he’d lose one of his brothers in a violent crime.

Caldwell stated that Christian enjoyed sports, time with friends, and traveling.

James Woods Checkmates NY Gov. Hochul After She Tries Vilifying Carrying In Self-Defense

0

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is not happy with the Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn a New York law that required that there be “proper cause” in order to get a concealed-carry permit. The highest court of the land ruled that you don’t have to give the government any reason to possess a firearm. It is a right and it has been for a long time.

Hochul is left with no choice but to throw temper tantrums, which look more like a grown-up complaining. Naturally, the leftist media will allow Hochul to have her fits right in front of their cameras.

Hochul was interviewed by CBS’s morning program about people who want to carry guns to defend themselves against crime. This is understandable in such a conservative state.

Hochul said, “It makes everyone feel very unsafe.”

The governor of New York stated that concealed carry firearms could be easily activated if someone looks at someone’s girlfriend or at a bar. Hochul didn’t seem to have an answer.

After saying that she was okay with people owning guns for hunting or for the protection of their homes, Hochul said that they have always “allowed that”, further proving New York Democrats aren’t aware of what a right is. Hochul then reacted to questions about criminal actions by legal gun owners and said that citizens are responsible for locking down their guns properly. She also stated that 25% of gun crime is committed with stolen guns.

As you can see, Hochul is after you and your rights. Every action she’s taking involves complicating your ability to own and carry.

NY’s @GovKathyHochul: People bearing arms for self-protection “makes everyone else feel very unsafe.” pic.twitter.com/GJsIXvT6jQ

— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) June 24, 2022

Because you are too unpredictable and irresponsible to be trusted with a firearm to protect yourself, even if you’re a law-abiding citizen. It’s better for everyone to rely on luck when it comes to protecting yourself while you are outside your home. Hochul says guns are too dangerous to use for self-defense.

It’s hard to imagine how they would feel safe around you if it was hidden, but I digress.

James Woods, an actor, observed something quite interesting about Hochul’s position regarding having firearms nearby for protection. You can see Hochul being protected by eight guns in a video he posted.

She can have eight armed guards. You? On your own… pic.twitter.com/wHYQnzzs6R

— James Woods (@RealJamesWoods) June 24, 2022

Hochul isn’t stating what she really believes. Hochul clearly knows that firearms are a great choice to deter trouble and provide protection in the event of an emergency.

It’s not that she doesn’t believe it for you. You can’t be in control of your fate. Hochul believes, as do many Democrats, that they should be protected with firearms.

Privileges for me but not for you. It is hypocrisy at its worst.

The 15 Republicans Who Sold Us Out On The Senate Gun Bill

0

Some Senate Republicans voted along with Democrats to pass legislation that would have impacted the Constitution rights for Americans. This gave Democrats their victory in the gun control battle.

We reported the Senate passed the bill 65-33. These are 15 Republicans who sold us out and voted for the bill.

15 GOP yeas on the gun bill:

Burr
Capito
Cassidy
Collins
Cornyn
Ernst
Graham
McConnell
Murkowski
Portman
Romney
Tillis

— Chad Pergram (@ChadPergram) June 24, 2022

Some did it because of retirement and they didn’t care much about our “votes” or “their careers”. Other people have been elected and/or won’t be reelected before 2026. They probably want us to forget about the violations of our gun rights.

PELOSI: “First thing tomorrow morning, the Rules Committee will meet to advance this life-saving legislation to the Floor. When the Rules Committee finishes its business, we will head immediately to the Floor. And we will send the bill to President Biden for his signature”

— Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) June 24, 2022

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (RINO-AK) is up in 2022 and Sen. Mitt Romney (RINO-UT) is up in 2024. They were already going to get primaried, although in Alaska they now have open primaries and the top four people go to the general election where they will have ranked-choice voting. So that likely helps Murkowski.

The bill now goes to the House. It is expected that it will be passed in the House on Friday.

Jennifer Van Laar was my colleague and explained to me that the bill contains some very concerning provisions. These include funding red flag state laws that could interfere with our due process rights.

Ironically, it passed in the Senate the day after Justice Clarence Thomas made a landmark gun rights decision. Democrats Joe Biden and NY Gov. also supported the motion. Kathy Hochul and Joe Biden lost their minds about concealed carry. Caniglia, v. Strom 2021 9-0 has already raised questions about red flag laws. It ruled against search and seizure in the absence of due process. Legislators may want to review that before they make a big deal.

These Republicans aren’t concerned about our rights or the Supreme Court. This is especially harmful when all the right should focus on defeating the Democrats in November and not melting in the sun to support the Democrats’ gun control goals. Republicans are enjoying record enthusiasm and hold the highest generic position on the Congressional election ballot in many years. If they keep their heads together and listen to their base, they’re well placed to take out the Democrats. These moves don’t help Republicans’ cause.

Major Retail Chain Refuses to Give COVID Shots to Kids Under 5

0

Publix, the Southeast’s largest retail chain, has decided not to provide COVID-19 shots to children younger than five years old. Publix stated on its corporate website that it is refusing to administer the COVID vaccine for children under five years old. According to Tampa Bay Times, Publix spokespersons declined to provide any explanations or other information about the company’s decision.

Publix’s customer support Twitter account directs customers to “speak to pediatrician’s offices, community-health centers, children’s hospitals and public health clinics regarding availability at this moment.”

With nearly 1,300 stores in seven southern states, most of which are in the Sunshine State, the Florida-headquartered corporation was a major player in executing that state’s vaccination program in 2021. In March 2022, Florida’s Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo was the first to recommend against COVID shots for children in good health. Florida state guidelines recommend that parents with children who have comorbidities or have underlying medical conditions consider getting their kids vaccinated against COVID.

Recent developments in Florida have seen the state become the first to decline pre-orders for pediatric COVID shots from the federal government.

Gov. Ron DeSantis stated this on Thursday. “These are people who have zero chance of getting anything.” Ron DeSantis assured Floridians on Thursday that there are no state programs trying to give COVID jabs infants, toddlers, and newborns. This is not what we consider appropriate and that’s why we won’t be using our resources to do so.

DeSantis claimed that the FDA panel who approved shots for toddlers and infants was doing so to placate parents panicking. “To issue an emergency-use authorization to a 6-month-old child or a 1-year old just to ease anxiety is not acceptable.

Publix can order its own supplies even though the state of Florida does not have pre-ordered doses for infant and toddler vaccines. The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program is the program that allows Publix to order COVID shots from the federal government.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Publix competitor Walmart will offer vaccinations for children below five years old but not for children under three years of age. Walmart spokesperson Tyler Thomason said that while we expect most of these vaccines will be distributed to pediatric providers but that we plan to distribute authorized vaccines for children ages 3-5 as supply permits.” Thomason also stated to the Times via email.
