Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that Israel might have to become more “autarkic,” building productive capacity domestically due to the threat of future trade sanctions, especially by Europe.
Netanyahu blamed the influx of Muslim immigrants to Europe, which he said were fueling an extremist minority that is radically opposed to Israel. He also noted the role of TikTok and other social media platforms, funded by Qatar and China, that he said are poisoning public opinion against Israel in the West.
“Israel is in a sort of isolation,” Netanyahu acknowledged, at a conference of the Finance Ministry’s accountant general in Jerusalem.
“We will increasingly need to adapt to an economy with autarkic characteristics,” he continued, calling the term for economic self-sufficiency, closed off from global trade, “the word I most hate.”
“I am a believer in the free market, but we may find ourselves in a situation where our arms industries are blocked. We will need to develop arms industries here — not only research and development, but also the ability to produce what we need,” he said.
“Autarky” refers to a closed economy that is self-sufficient. It is an economic strategy that rarely works.
Netanyahu is the architect of the country’s economic transformation, having pushed for reforms to Israel’s old socialist model during his tenure as finance minister in Ariel Sharon’s government two decades ago.
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange — which has been at record highs, especially since the 12-Day War with Iran — dropped sharply after Netanyahu’s remarks, though it recovered somewhat before the close of trading.

The FBI confirmed Monday morning DNA samples found at the spot where Charlie Kirk’s assassin hid positively match the suspect now in custody, Tyler Robinson.
FBI Director Kash Patel made the revelation on Fox & Friends. He confirmed DNA matching alleged assassin Robinson, 22, was found on a towel that covered the murder weapon when it was thrown away in nearby woods.
A screwdriver found in the sniper’s position on the UVU rooftop also returned a positive match.

Robinson also wrote a note saying declaring he had an opportunity to “take out Charlie Kirk,” and that he was “going to take it,” Patel said.
‘We have since learned the note – even though it was destroyed – we have found forensic evidence of the note and we have confirmed what the note said because our aggressive interview posture at the FBI.’
Further DNA found on the .30 caliber, bolt-action rifle with a scope, believed to have been used in last Wednesday’s shooting, is still being analyzed to determine its links to Robinson, the FBI boss said.
Patel confirmed that Robinson is still not cooperating with investigators.
More to come…

The Washington Post has fired now-former global opinions editor Karen Attiah after she appeared to celebrate the political assassination of Charlie Kirk. That comes amid a range of firings across multiple sectors of people who apparently have no self-control whatsoever, nor the common decency to practice it.
Kirk was murdered by a far-left radical who had a “trans-furry” boyfriend while holding an open debate on a Utah college campus. The shooter, Tyler Robinson, fled after firing the fatal shot before his father and a youth pastor detained and turned him in a day later.
For her part, Attiah reacted to the shooting by posting the following on the left-wing site, Blue Sky.
“Black women do not have the brain processing power to be taken seriously. You have to go steal a white person’s slot.”
-Charlie Kirk
It was an obvious attempt to justify Kirk’s murder, which was bad enough. What was worse, though, is that the quote was fabricated. Kirk never said it.
That led to Attiah being relieved of her duties at the Post.
"The Washington Post fired me" over Charlie Kirk posts, writes @KarenAttiah.
"I have been canceled by Columbia. I have now been canceled by the Washington Post." https://t.co/3kLfcwq99h
Some immediately screamed that this was a negative example of “right-wing cancel culture.” In other words, if a columnist for a major newspaper can’t make up a quote to smear someone who was assassinated, are any of us truly free? As I explained recently, we are allowed to use common sense when discussing “cancel culture.”
Let me explain this to the leftists suddenly deeply concerned about cancel culture.
Digging up decade old tweets of jokes or hacking a political donation to get someone fired is cancel culture.
People getting fired for currently, openly cheering murder is not cancel culture.
After getting the boot, Attiah showed no remorse. Instead, she posted a picture of her setting the Post on fire with a rose in her mouth. Included was a link to her Substack, where she doubled down on the fake quote.
Some news: I've been fired from the Washington Post.
Unsurprisingly, Attiah has a history of extremism. In the days after the October 7th attacks by Hamas, she scolded then-President Joe Biden for offering support to Israel. After receiving criticism for her flippantness, she pushed back by mocking those who showed empathy to those murdered by Hamas. In 2018, Attiah also published an op-ed by a terrorist leader of the Houthis, claiming his viewpoint needed to be heard.
The real question is how she kept her job this long. While I’m glad the Post finally took action, it is absurd that Attiah was kept on the payroll for years on end, even as she excused violence against her perceived political opponents and promoted the ideas of Islamic terrorists. Lastly, lest anyone believe Attiah was a free speech absolutist, she lobbied to get the editor fired who published Tom Cotton’s 2020 op-ed suggesting the use of the military to quell widespread, left-wing riots.
So yeah, I don’t think I’m interested in hearing about “cancel culture” from these people.
Vice President JD Vance brought the receipts about the number of people on the left who feel political violence is acceptable and said there can be “no unity” with people who celebrate Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s murder.
Speaking from his office in the White House on Monday on “The Charlie Kirk Show,” Vance said the data is clear, there is a much larger number of self-proclaimed leftists who are fine with the use of political violence compared to self-proclaimed very conservative ones.
.@VP get's emotional as he shares Charlie's most IMPORTANT truth. 🙏
"Long ago, a man, begotten not made, came down from heaven, & by the holy spirit, was incarnate of the Virgin Mary & became man. For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered death, was buried,… pic.twitter.com/6thG4dbo4k
“One truth we must face is that 24 percent of self-described very liberals believe it is acceptable to be happy about the death of a political opponent,” the VP said. “While only three percent of self-described very conservatives agree.”
“Another truth is that 26 percent of young liberals believe political violence is sometimes justified,” he added. “And only seven percent of young conservatives say the same. Again, too high a number…But the data is clear. People on the left are much more likely to defend and celebrate political violence.”
🚨Scalise, Trump, Kirk.
"This violence doesn’t come from nowhere. Any political movement…is a collection of forces..donors, activists, journalists, now social media influencers, & politicians..are creating an environment where things like this are inevitably going to happen" pic.twitter.com/m0ZBPd8OxO
“This is not a both sides problem…One side has a much bigger and malignant problem, and that is the truth that must be told,” Vance said. “That problem has terrible consequences. The leader of our party, Donald J Trump, escaped an assassin’s bullet by less than an inch. Our House Majority leader, Steve Scalise, came within seconds of death by an assassin himself. And now the most influential conservative activists in generations, our friend Charlie, has been murdered.”
“This violence, it doesn’t come from nowhere,” Vance said. “Now any political movement…is a collection of forces, like a pyramid that stacks on top, one support on top of the other. That pyramid’s got a foundation of donors, activists, journalists, now social media influencers, and politicians.”
“Not every member of that pyramid would commit a murder….but by celebrating that murder, apologizing for it, and emphasizing not Charlie’s innocence but the fact that he said things some didn’t like, even to the point of lying about what he actually said, many of these people are creating an environment where things like this are inevitably going to happen.”
The vice president then reflected on what happened to his family a few months ago when he and Second Lady Usha Vance tried to take their kids to Disneyland, and there were some insane, radical leftists who screamed at his kids, as RedState reported.
“It is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left,” Vance said. “We can thank God that most Democrats don’t share these attitudes, and I do. While acknowledging that something has gone very wrong with the lunatic fringe, a minority, but a growing and powerful minority on the far left.”
🚨 JD VANCE just WENT OFF on people who are calling for "UNITY" with radical leftists
"There is NO UNITY with people who scream at children over their parents' politics.
There is NO UNITY with someone who LIES about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder.
“There is no unity with people who scream at children over their parents’ politics,” he added. “There is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder. There is no unity with someone who harasses an innocent family the day after the father of that family lost a dear friend.”
“There is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination,” the VP continued. “And there is no unity with the people who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers. Who argue that Charlie Kirk….deserved a shot to the neck because he spoke words with which they disagree.”
Earlier in the show, Vance spoke with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, who shared how devastated he is that Kirk is gone. He also revealed the chilling final text message he got from Charlie, one day before he was killed by an assassin while he was on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The suspect in custody for Kirk’s murder is Tyler Robinson, who the FBI has said was influenced by leftist ideology.
We need to have an organized strategy to go after the left-leaning organizations that are promoting violence in this country.
The vice president is one hundred percent correct; those on the right must call out those who have excused Kirk’s murder. Actions have consequences.

A number of commercial pilots and other professionals who cheered or mocked the assassination of Charlie Kirk have been fired.
Those pilots worked for American Air and Delta.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy posted:
“American Airlines pilots who were caught celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk have been immediately grounded and removed from service by @AmericanAir.
This behavior is disgusting and they should be fired.
Any company responsible for the safety of the traveling public cannot tolerate that behavior.
We heal as a country when we send the message that glorifying political violence is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

Kirk came to the college campus to debate. He’d been debating since he started Turning Point USA at age 18 in a garage. He skipped college and grew that company to found chapters on college campuses nationwide.
Only hours and days after the public assassination of Kirk by an extremists, many sprinted to social media to declare a political win or chase clout using Kirk’s murder.
A Financial aid advisor at Iowa State University responded to Kirk’s muder, saying “This jackass got what was coming and I’m happy he’s rotting in hell”.
Iowa State University hasn’t responded to a request for comment.
Also this weekend, a Michigan Office Depot refused to print posters for a Charlie Kirk vigil. The employees called the poster “propaganda.”
Those employees were fired after the viral video, Office Depot told Townhall in an email.

“As confirmed in our public statement, we are deeply concerned by the unfortunate customer experience that occurred at Store 3382 in Portage, Michigan. The behavior displayed by our associate is completely unacceptable and insensitive, violates our company policies, and does not reflect the values we uphold at Office Depot. On behalf of the Company, we sincerely apologize for this regrettable situation.
“Upon learning of the incident, we immediately reached out to the customer to address their concerns and seek to fulfill their order to their satisfaction. We also launched an immediate internal review and, as a result, the associate involved is no longer with the organization. We continue to aggressively investigate the matter and will take action where appropriate.”
“We are committed to reinforcing training with all team members to ensure our standards of respect, integrity, and customer service are upheld at every location. Our customers and communities deserve nothing less.”
Some people who posted hateful things about Kirk work or worked for hospitals.
Stephen Byrom works at @OhioState medical center as a respiratory therapist.
His response to Charlie’s m*rder: “He deserves an unnamed ditch in the middle of nowhere. Maybe the waste of oxygen will be worth something to vultures.”

Vice President JD Vance revealed that he would be hosting The Charlie Kirk Show on Monday, days after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University.
“Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show,” Vance wrote in a post on X. “Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend.”
In a previous post, Vance shared how, around 2017, after he had appeared on former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s show, Kirk sent him a message on X (formerly Twitter) telling him that he “did a great job.”
“Charlie was fascinated by ideas and always willing to learn and change his mind,” Vance continued to share. “Like me, he was skeptical of Donald Trump in 2016. Like me, he came to see President Trump as the only figure capable of moving American politics away from the globalism that had dominated for our entire lives.”
Vance continued to share how Kirk had been “one of the first people” he called when Vance “thought about running for senate in early 2021.”
“Long before I ever committed (even in my mind) to running, Charlie had me speak to his donors at a TPUSA event,” Vance said. “He walked me around the room and introduced me. He gave me honest feedback on my remarks. He had no reason to do this, no expectation that I’d go anywhere. I was polling, at that point, well below 5 percent. He did it because we were friends, and because he was a good man.”
Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show. Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend.
Vance continued to talk about how Kirk “genuinely believed in and loved Jesus Christ,” and added that Kirk was a “great family man” who loved going into “hostile crowds” and answering questions.
“If it was a friendly crowd, and a progressive asked a question to jeers from the audience, he’d encourage his fans to calm down and let everyone speak,” Vance continued. “He exemplified a foundational virtue of our Republic: the willingness to speak openly and debate ideas.”
NewsNation reported that two days after Kirk’s assassination, several of Kirk’s friends; Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec, Turning Point Action’s Tyler Bowyer, Blake Neff, and Andrew Kolvet, a producer on Kirk’s show, aired the show “with an empty chair left” in Kirk’s honor.
Sometimes something comes across the screen that’s so ridiculous that it requires a double-take – and then a triple-take. When Whoopi Goldberg is involved, sometimes it’s a quintuple-take. Case in point: On Wednesday, on “The View” (That’s still on? Who knew?), Whoopi called out her fellow Democrats during a discussion of Kamala Harris’ new (ghost-written) book, claiming that the 2024 election may have turned out differently, had the Democrats just “…kept their mouths shut” about “Autopen Joe” Biden’s decline.
“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg lashed out at Democrats on Wednesday while discussing an excerpt from former Vice President Kamala Harris’ new book and insisted they should have “kept their mouths shut” about former President Joe Biden’s decline.
“If the Democrats had kept their mouths shut and looked like, hold on, hear what I’m saying, if they had kept their mouths shut and took care of this in-house, as opposed to making it a public spectacle, I think people would have had a better feel about it,” Goldberg said.
So… she’s saying that the Democrats should have worked harder to cover up the mental and physical decline of a man who was, at the time, President of the United States – a man who was ostensibly Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, a man with the authority to order the release of nuclear weapons?
That actually made my brain hurt. But that’s not uncommon when one is watching “The View.” Oh, Whoopi wasn’t the only one performing in Nitwits on Parade; her co-hosts were also true to form:
Co-host Joy Behar jumped in and blamed sexism, arguing that the country would “never elect a woman.”
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said she disagreed with Goldberg.
“I don’t believe the political parties should have a say in who is a nominee and who is elected,” Griffin said. “There’s no primary when there is a sitting president. And 75% of voters said they thought that Biden may be fine when in office, but was too old for another term. That’s voters’ only way to say ‘I have an issue.’”
Co-host Sunny Hostin agreed with Harris’ argument that the stakes were too high regarding Biden’s decision to run again.
Sexism had nothing to do with Kamala “Queen of Word Salads” Harris losing that election, just as sexism had nothing to do with Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I, Dowager-Empress of Chappaqua, losing the 2016 election. Both of them were terrible candidates. Both of them were grating, abrasive, and unbearably smug and self-righteous, although we have to give Her Imperial Highness an edge in the smug department. Both of them were, politically, far too far to the left of the American mainstream.
The American voters would certainly elect a woman president if she were up to the job. Tulsi Gabbard keeps drawing mention as a GOP vice presidential candidate in 2028, which would put her in the running for the top spot in due course. That would have to really sting the Democrats, since Tulsi not only once ran as a Democrat but she is also the one who, in the 2020 Democratic primary debate, defenestrated Kamala Harris over one debate question. Kamala dropped out before one vote was cast; Tulsi is now 1) a Republican, and b) President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence.
No, sexism had nothing to do with it. That’s just the usual fallback position for these people; they can’t blame their bad candidates; it’s just that they actually think that the American people are too biased, too dumb, and too sexist to know what’s good for them.
Now, the election was 10 months ago, and ever since, it’s been snap and slash time in the upper echelons of the Democratic Party. Ghost-written memoirs are flying back and forth like 14-inch shells at the Battle of Jutland; everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else, except old Joe Biden, who is pointing fingers at clouds and oozing, “Lookie! Lookie!” Now “The View” has to chime in along with everyone else, claiming, as always, that the fault lies anywhere but with the horrible, horrible candidates; and that will be used to push the next slate of horrible, horrible candidates in 2028.
Let’s hope they never get wise.

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was sentenced on Thursday to 27 years and three months in prison, hours after being convicted by what can only be called a kangaroo court of plotting a coup to remain in power after losing the 2022 election. This was the second phase of a no-holds-barred attack on the mildly conservative Bolsonaro that began shortly after he took office in 2019.
To most observers, Bolsonaro was targeted by Brazil’s power structure, harassed by a bureaucracy that refused to accept his leadership, and finally convicted in a horribly unfair proceeding in which the presiding judge was also the lead prosecutor. You’d think that would horrify most Americans, but then you wouldn’t be an academic at a top-tier school or a Democrat senator.
Shortly after Bolsonaro took office in March 2019, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) launched an inquiry into the allegations that he had spread fake news and attacked democratic institutions. Bolsonaro and his allies were also investigated for using social media to undermine the judiciary and electoral system. In Brazil, Heaven only knows what that would be. It gets better. In 2020, the “fake news” claim was expanded to include alleged false claims about COVID-19 vaccines and electoral fraud. In June 2021, Federal police raided offices linked to Bolsonaro’s sons (Flávio and Carlos) based on accusations of spreading disinformation.
In June 2021, Bolsonaro was accused of shenanigans involving the purchase price of an Indian developed COVID vaccine.
When Bolsonaro lost in 2022, he made allegations about improprieties in the electoral process. Given Brazil’s squeaky-clean voting record, he was obviously mistaken. The allegations, though, got him an investigation by Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court (TSE) for abusing power by casting unfounded doubts on the electronic voting system during the campaign.
Questioning the 2022 election on U.S.media got Bolsonaro fined and led directly to the 8-year ban from running for office slapped on him by the TSE on June 30, 2023.
Fortunately, election denial is not a crime in the U.S.
Here’s 24 straight minutes of Democrats denying election results.
Bolsonaro was accused of inciting the unrest by delaying military intervention and praising rioters online. I don’t think he told any of his supporters to “stand back and stand by,” but you can stop if any of this starts sounding familiar.
In March 2023, he was accused of using public funds to buy luxury jewelry, and in July, his residences were raided by police. In 2024, he was indicted for embezzlement and money laundering; his wife, Michelle, was implicated but not charged.
His trial for plotting a coup before a five-judge panel. One of the judges, Alexandre de Moraes, led the prosecution of the case, presented the closing argument, and then voted on his own work product. Unsurprisingly, Bolsonaro was convicted, but by a 4-1 vote.
So by now you’re wondering where this goes. On Friday, as most of the nation was still following the assassination of a young father in Utah, the New York Times ran an op-ed by a couple of leftist college professors—a professor of economics at Johns Hopkins and a professor of government at Harvard—holding up Brazil as the model for how the Democrats should have handled President Trump after 2020: Opinion | Brazil Just Succeeded Where America Failed.
In both the United States and Brazil, then, elected presidents assaulted democratic institutions, seeking to maintain themselves in power after losing re-election. Both power grabs failed — initially.
But that’s where the two histories diverge. Americans did remarkably little to protect their democracy from the leader who had assaulted it…
Brazil followed a different path. Having lived under military dictatorship, Brazilian public officials perceived a threat to democracy from the beginning of Mr. Bolsonaro’s presidency. Many judges and congressional leaders saw a need to energetically defend their country’s democratic institutions. As Justice Moraes told one of us, “We realized that we could be Churchill or Chamberlain. I didn’t want to be Chamberlain.”
Viewing themselves as a bulwark against Mr. Bolsonaro’s authoritarianism, Brazilian justices pushed back forcefully. When evidence emerged that the Bolsonaro campaign had made widespread use of misinformation during the 2018 election, the court began what became known as the Fake News Inquiry, in which it aggressively sought to crack down on what the justices viewed as dangerous misinformation.
The two proto-fascists go on to lionize Brazil’s judges for suspending social media accounts and bastardizing the voting process so the vote tallies and results were announced simultaneously, so Bolsonaro “would not have time to contest them.” Along the way, these people proved that they were perfectly willing to burn down what passes for governmental institutions in Brazil if they could elect their favorite, the socialist, and I predict soon-to-be-overt-communist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. They even went so far as to have officials recognize the vote tally immediately. It would be like Joe Biden getting elected by having House Democrats immediately certify an unverified vote tally on the night of November 5. It is a good thing he never thought of it.
To put Bolsonaro away, they had to keep him from running again. And they did.
After the events of Jan. 8, 2023, made it clear that Mr. Bolsonaro posed a threat to democracy, Brazilian courts moved aggressively to hold him to account — and prevent his return to power. In June 2023, the Superior Electoral Tribunal barred Mr. Bolsonaro from holding public office for eight years, closing the door on a 2026 presidential bid.
And then they started the various criminal investigations of Bolsonaro, his family, friends, and associates, which finished its first stage on Thursday.
Incredibly, after Brazil’s Deep State and judiciary ran roughshod over whatever semblance of a system Brazil has to hamstring a president elected by the majority of Brazilians, corruptly defeat his reelection, ban him from politics, and place him in prison for what could be the rest of his life, the clowns who are teaching our children say:
With all its flaws, Brazilian democracy is healthier today than America’s. Keenly aware of their country’s authoritarian past, Brazil’s judicial and political authorities did not take democracy for granted. Their U.S. counterparts, by contrast, fell down on the job. Rather than undermining Brazil’s effort to defend its democracy, Americans should learn from it.
This is not the fevered dreams of a couple of angry losers who lost their hot gay post-doctoral students when the USAID grant money was pulled by Trump in January. A U.S. Senator endorsed it.
Brazil is sending its election denier to prison for 27 years. We sent ours back to the White House. Brazil already lived under military dictatorship and saw the threat clearly. We failed to protect our democracy. We need to learn from Brazil before it’s too late. pic.twitter.com/0APO5vdPVm
This kind of might-makes-right operation has no place in American politics or even in America. If our higher education system was anything but a sinecure for leftwing midwits, these two guys would be out of a job.
When Lula da Silva is removed from power, and it will happen to him just as it happened to Pol Pot and others, everyone involved in this scheme should get to feel the full weight of the vengeance of the winner, so what remains of Brazil’s socialist establishment will never do this again.

“There will be no Palestinian state.” So declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, upon approving a new housing development east of Jerusalem that will divide the West Bank (Judea and Samaria).
The development, known as E1, was approved by finance minister Bezalel Smotrich in August after several western countries began saying that they would recognize a Palestinian state despite the ongoing war, and despite the fact that Hamas continues to hold, and to starve, dozens of Israeli hostages.
The new community will connect Jerusalem with the settlement community of Ma’aleh Adumin, to the east.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich approved the new E1 settlement plan near Ma’aleh Adumim, which would split east Jerusalem from the West Bank.
Standing at the site of the planned settlement on Thursday, Smotrich said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump had agreed to the revival of the E1 development.
“Those around the world who try to recognize a Palestinian state will see our response on the ground – not with documents or declarations, but with facts: homes, roads, and Jewish families building their lives here,” Smotrich said.
On Thursday, Netanyahu visited Ma’aleh Adumim to approve the plan — and to declare the Palestinian state over. The Times of Israel reported:
“There will be no Palestinian state,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared at the Thursday ceremony in Ma’ale Adumim. In 2009, he had promised a Palestinian state in his famous Bar-Ilan speech, and in 2020, he had conditionally agreed to such a state as part of US President Donald Trump’s “Deal of the Century.” But government ministers who attended the ceremony on Thursday are confident that this time, there will be no turning back.
Correspondent Shalom Yerushalmi said: “Construction in E1 is the last nail in the coffin of the two-state solution.”
In remarks distributed by the Government Press Office, and translated from Hebrew, Netanyahu said:
We said that there will not be a Palestinian state – and indeed there will be no Palestinian state! This place is ours. We will see to our heritage, our land and our security.
We are now almost two years into a war that was forced on us on that terrible day of slaughter, of abductions of our hostages, most of whom have returned, but others remain. We will bring them all back – the living and the deceased.
However, we understood, and I said this on the second day of the war, we will change the face of the Middle East. Because it was clear to me that we were not fighting just the murderers of Hamas, but we were fighting Iran and the Iranian axis, that in effect came to strangle us and destroy us. We did so step by step, step by step. When I say ‘We did it’, we did it together. Not just my friends in government, it is the heroes, our soldiers who are fighting, and the heroes who have fallen, and the people of Israel who have constantly stood steadfast, when we struck Iran and pushed off an existential threat. Not just over hundreds or thousands, but over millions of Israeli citizens, and over our entire future, and over the dream of the generations who came before us, for realizing the dream of those who will come after us.
We removed these threats thanks to the steadfast endurance of the citizens of Israel, yours here in Maale Adumim. We will complete the work. What began in Gaza – will end in Gaza. We will defeat Hamas.
At the same time, we are dealing with other parts of the axis, who still need to be dealt with, such as the Houthis. But we really are taking brave and determined action. Perhaps the most important thing in this battle, is the determination that stems from the recognition that we are fighting not just for our land, our children and our grand-children, but to ensure – in two words – the eternity of Israel. The eternity of Israel is currently being decided in all parts of the Land of Israel, here as well, in the expanding Maale Adumim.
Israelis once supported a two-state solution, but support for that idea has collapsed over the past decade, after several wars in which Hamas attacked Israel.
Netanyahu had contemplated annexing the West Bank, but refrained from doing so, after Arab countries indicated that doing so would end the Abraham Accords peace agreement.
The construction in E1 falls short of annexation but makes the territorial contiguity of a Palestinian state impossible.
Later Friday, the United Nations General Assembly is set to vote on declaring a Palestinian state, in a resolution that demands that Palestinians be able to govern all of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza.

Actress Amber Tamblyn suggested that the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was a “public execution” and mocked the fact that Kirk’s daughter witnessed his horrific and gruesome murder.
“Wish granted,” Tamblyn wrote in a Thursday BlueSky post, sharing a February 24, 2024 Newsweek article, headlined, “Trump Ally Charlie Kirk Suggests Children Should Watch Public Executions.”
The actress was therefore suggesting that Kirk was “executed” for the fictitious crime of exercising his First Amendment right — seemingly in agreeance with a murderous assassin.
For context, the Newsweek article cited an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, in which Kirk and co-hosts were hypothetically discussing murderers who have been sentenced to the death penalty receiving a public execution, surmising that crime may go down as a result.
At one point during the panel discussion, co-hosts shared their opinions about what they believed the age limitations should be for people attending a theoretical public execution — should they exist.

When considering additional context, the mention of public executions is hardly controversial, as many Americans oftentimes express their desire to see them return to society in response to learning the details of horrific murders, such as the killing of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Hope Riley.
Notably, Riley was murdered by illegal alien and Tren de Aragua gang member Jose Ibarra on February 22, 2024, around the same time Kirk and his co-hosts opined about the concept of public executions.
As Turning Point USA noted in a statement on Thursday, Kirk “had an overwhelming passion for life and a deep belief in his power as an individual to make a difference.”
His final Instagram post read, published just hours before his assassination, read, “America will never be the same” alongside an image of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was senselessly murdered on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina.
