Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, took to social media to celebrate President Biden’s signing of the Inflation Reduction Act. He boasted that it would be a win-win for Canadians.

Biden signed Tuesday’s Inflation Reduction Act, claiming it to be a major win for Americans.
Canadian officials praised the new law as a win-win situation for Canada and its green manufacturing sector. Americans will receive tax credits for buying electric vehicles made in North America. This fact was not lost on critics.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) said Wednesday, in response to Trudeau, “Using your taxes in Canada to boost the Canadian auto manufacturing sector isn’t going to lower inflation in the United States but it is quite an a gift Canada, the same country which sued the U.S. at the WTO in order to get us to remove the country of origin labels on our beef and pork.”
After the legislation passed both chambers on party lines, Biden signed it. Vice President Kamala Harris had the tiebreaking vote in the 51-50 Senate vote.
Biden attacked Republicans Tuesday for opposing the legislation, arguing they were on the side of special interest groups.
Biden stated that Democrats sided with American citizens, while every Republican in Congress supported the special interests.
