President Donald Trump’s economic policies are working, and even CNN has been forced to report the great news following the latest report about how consumer confidence is booming.
A post shared on Tuesday on X from the outlet read, “US consumer confidence rose in July, suggesting Americans feel a bit more confident about the economy because of President Trump’s tariff agreements.” It comes amid the doomsday reports from the likes of legacy media and Democrats claiming Trump’s tariffs would spark higher inflation, with some even suggesting it would lead to a recession.

The post linked to a headline that pulled back the positive news for Trump a smidge more: “Americans are growing hopeful about the economy as trade talks progress.”
Can’t you almost see the reporter and editor wincing as they read the article out loud for corrections and adjustments?
Two paragraphs I’m sure were painful for the leftist outlet to write were the following:
Consumer confidence climbed 2 points this month to a reading of 97.2, the Conference Board said Tuesday, showing people’s attitudes about the economy have stabilized after deteriorating sharply during the spring when Trump unveiled massive tariffs that threatened to jack up prices and weaken the labor market.
But consumer confidence has recovered somewhat since then. The stiff levies Trump unveiled in April have been delayed several times, and the administration said it has brokered trade agreements with seven countries, including China, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

Townhall also shared a clip from Fox Business reporting about consumer confidence beating expectations.
“NEW: Consumer confidence BEATS EXPECTATIONS!” it read. “A STRONG NUMBER!” the host read. “The Trump economy continues to boom despite the doomsday’ experts.’”
Shortly after news surfaced about the consumer confidence report, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a post on X that celebrated the amount of money Trump’s tariffs have brought in.
It read: “July tariff revenues break monthly record, with $150B collected so far in 2025.”
As RedState recently reported, Trump has silenced critics when it comes to his latest European Union trade deal, and watching them have to admit that it’s a thousand percent a victory for Trump is hilarious.
In a series of posts on Monday on X, the Official Rapid Response account of the Trump 47 White House shared several clips from CNN, CBS, Fox News, and more lauding the deal from some who have been critical of the president.
It comes following Trump’s announcement about the EU-U.S. trade deal, calling it the “biggest deal ever made.” The agreement includes a “15 percent tariff on most imports from the European Union” to the U.S., including cars. And “EU to purchase $750 billion of U.S. energy and invest $600 billion into the U.S. all by 2028.”
It follows Trump’s other recent historic trade deals with Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, among others.
