Does Joe Biden Know His Son Beau Did Not Die in Iraq?

Joe Biden claimed last month that Beau, his son who died from brain cancer in 2015 had been killed in Iraq. Biden was heavily criticized for his blunder. He’s still telling the same lie, even though he was widely criticized.

Biden accidentally misunderstood the war in Iraq as the war in Ukraine at a White House event Tuesday. Instead of correcting himself and moving on, Biden tried to explain his gaffe — and made a worse one.

“Inflation is a global problem right now due to a war in Iraq — excuse my war in Ukraine — I think of Iraq because that’s the place where my son was killed.”

It is hard to believe that Biden could have forgotten about the circumstances surrounding his son’s death. This is his second claim that Beau Biden was killed in Iraq. I have to wonder if he actually believes this.

Biden often referred to his son Beau, who died from brain cancer. He also compared himself with Gold Star families whose loved ones were killed in combat. In a shameless attempt to avoid being criticized for his actions, Biden mentioned Beau after his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. When he spoke to the nation following the terrorist attack at Kabul Airport, Biden also mentioned his son. He reportedly continued to talk about Beau while visiting the families of U.S. military personnel who were killed during the disastrous withdrawal.

Biden seems to have come to believe that Beau died in combat because he keeps referring back to Beau’s death when talking about military deaths.
