Rand Paul And Fauci Face Off Officials Recommending Boosters For Children

0

Rand Paul (R.KY) fought with quadruple vaccinated Doctor Anthony Fauci at a Senate hearing this Week. Fauci was questioned by the Senate medical adviser about pushing boosters for children despite an astonishing lack of data.

Paul clarified however that it was essentially “the evidence” Fauci’s committees used.

“That is the only reason to tell your children to take boosters. They make antibodies. It’s not absurd. You have at least five boosters. You have had two to three boosters. Paul asked the question, “Where is the proof?” He was referring to the risks associated with the vaccine.

“So, the risk of myocarditis from a second dose for adolescents aged 12-24 years is approximately 80 per million.” He said that this is from both the CDC as the Israeli study. He also cited another study with “remarkably similar results”.

“So there’s risk and there are risks and you’re telling everyone in America to blindly go out there, because we made antibodies. It isn’t absurd to say that you have 10 boosters. You can actually make antibodies if there are 100 boosters. That’s not science. That’s conjecture. Paul stressed that we shouldn’t be making public policies on it, as Fauci ignored Paul’s main point.

“We heard ranking member Burr speak about his staff’s trip to Israel in his opening speech. And if you look at data from Israel, both the third and fourth shot boosts were associated with clear clinical effects mostly in the elderly. Fauci stated that they also gathered more data from people in their 40s and 50s. “There is clinical data,” Fauci added. Paul agreed, adding, “But not for children.”

Paul stated, noting that 75% of American children have had the disease.

“Why doesn’t the CDC include this information in their data?” The question is open for discussion. To determine who has it, you can run laboratory tests. How common is COVID in children? What are the chances of them being hospitalized or dying after getting it? Paul asked Fauci as Fauci tried to defend his recommendation.

“Senator,” he stated, as Paul interjected. Fauci was not able to answer his question.

“You don’t know the answer to my question.” He asked, “How many children are dying?”

“The answer might be zero, but you don’t even give us the data because your heart is set on protecting everyone from all the data. We’re not smart enough not to see the data,” continued the Kentucky Republican.

“When you published data earlier, the CDC did not include the 18-49 age group on whether there was a health benefit to adults 18-49. Why did it get left out? After critics complained, it was finally added because there was no health benefit to taking a booster between 18 and 49 in the CDC study.” he said.

The most recent data from American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) shows that 46 states, New York City, Puerto Rico and Guam reported child COVID-19 death rates ranging from 0.00% to 0.022%. Children were 0.00%-0.32% of all COVID-19-related deaths. Only 1 state reported no child deaths.

Additionally, hospitalizations were reported in 25 states and New York City.

Matthew McConaughey Shares Video Calling For Bipartisan Gun Reform

0

Matthew McConaughey shared a message on gun reform via social media Friday.

As he continues to raise awareness about gun laws, the “Interstellar” star uploaded a black-and-white video of Camila Alves and her husband visiting Congressmen and President Biden.

The video started with “This is and was gun responsibility.” “Camila met with more than 30 members from both parties. We met with the leaders of the Senate and House, as well as the president.

The actor said, “This is about mental and physical health, safer schools, and keeping guns out the irresponsible arms that, according to rule of law, still possess them today.”

McConaughey is seen with his wife, Nancy Pelosi (D-California), talking to various government officials in the video.

The video concluded, “For ourselves, for our children, Republicans and Democrats, as well as our fellow Americans,… it’s high time to take responsibility.”

McConaughey visited the White House in June to make an emotional plea for gun ownership reform during a press conference.

The actor, 52, is from Uvalde Texas. He was born there and killed 19 students and two teachers in May 24, when Salvador Ramos, 18, shot at Robb Elementary.

McConaughey stated that gun ownership should not be considered partisan, arguing that people in power have failed “to act.”

He said, “We need background checks,” while speaking from a podium and proposing changes to the outdated gun laws. “We must raise the minimum age for purchasing an AR-15 rifle from 21. These rifles should be kept in storage for a period of time. Red flag laws are needed and there should be consequences for those who misuse them.

“How is it possible that these people’s lives have been lost?” He reflected. “We must recognize that it appears something is different this time.”

McConaughey stated that it was crucial for elected officials from “both sides of the aisles” to communicate with one another in order to find solutions for the American people.

“We are now in a window that offers us a chance to make real change. He said that this window seemed like it could bring about real change and real change.

He said he remembered learning about responsible gun ownership while growing up in a small town in south Texas, approximately 80 miles from Austin.

McConaughey stated that “responsible gun owners” are fed up with the Second Amendment being misused and hijacked “by some deranged individuals”. He suggested that “both parties see the political problem above their own.”

He said, “Let’s get to the common table that represents America.” “America, you and I — we’re not as divided as people tell us we are. No.”

Uvalde’s shooting is the third-most deadly school shooting in American History, after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and the Virginia tech shooting.

Texas Democrats Slam Party After Republican Mayra Flores Flips House Seat Taking Latinos For Granted

0

Latino Democrats in Congress are raising alarm after Republican Mayra Flowers won a South Texas seat that has been held almost exclusively for Democrats for over 100 years.

Florez defeated Dan Sanchez, Democrat, in a Tuesday runoff election. Republicans claim this is a sign of a new trend among Latino voters. Democrats say the election was a fluke. Many Latino Democrats feel that their party has taken its voters for granted for way too long.

On Thursday, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) told Politico that the DCCC needed to take South Texas seriously. “I don’t believe it’s a political realignment but this should send out a message to DCCC… You cannot take Hispanics for granted as they always do.”

Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) said, “I hope that the [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee] will learn their lesson from this before it happens across all of the countries.” They have forgotten about the Brown people at the border. That’s what it is. It’s not something I want to sugarcoat. They take South Texas Latinos for granted.”

Republicans are also profiting from Flores’ win and arguing that it is yet another sign that the party is making progress with Latino voters after President Donald Trump won historic support in 2020.

Fox News’ Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee, said that “it’s a precursor to things that we believe are to come in the Hispanic community across the country.” “Democrats should be very concerned about what they’re seeing among Hispanic voters.”

However, some Democrats claim that Republican spending on Flores’ race was a waste of effort for a symbolic win. Flores will now be heading to Washington to represent Texas’ 34th Congressional District. Nevertheless, the district was redrawn to favor Democrats for the November election.

Sanchez was defeated by Flores in the 34th District version that President Joe Biden won by four points in 2020. However, the Republican-drawn version would favor Biden by fifteen points.

“Look, I believe the Republicans spent millions to win this seat that’s being lost. “We’re going to win the seat when it matters,” Rep. Sean Maloney (D-N.Y.), who is also chair of DCCC, told Politico. “You don’t like losing, so I can understand why people were upset. Republicans have burned a lot of dollars, and that’s what we’ll end up with”.

Flores is now settling into her office, but she will soon face an electoral challenge against Gonzalez in November to decide the fate of the new 34th District.

U.S. Economy Technically Enters Recession

HomeLatest NewsU.S. Economy Technically Enters Recession

Published on

After shrinking slightly in the first three months, it’s now recession time. The U.S. economy grew at an annual zero-point-zero rate last quarter.

Although the numbers aren’t yet public, Zero Hedge managed to get them on Wednesday midday.

Recession

Economists define a recession as a period of negative or zero growth over two consecutive quarters. That’s exactly what we have seen in the first half of 2022, after one year of Bidenomics.

From January to March, the economy contracted at an annual rate of 1.5%. This was a revision downwards from the original estimate of 1.4% contraction, and worse than expected revisions to 1.3%.

Consumer spending drives more than two-thirds of the U.S. economy, and consumers are feeling the pinch of double-digit price hikes for nearly everything, higher borrowing costs, and record credit-card debt to try and pay for it all.

Considering all of that, it’s almost impressive that overstrained consumers managed to juice the economy all the way up to zero.

More details will be forthcoming, I am afraid.

Alex Murdaugh’s Son Tells Dad in Jailhouse Phone Call Tapes You’ve Done Illegal s—

0

Alex Murdaugh was the only survivor. He told him in a newly released prisonhouse telephone call that he understood that his disgraced South Carolina legal father had “done illicitly”.

The call was placed on Dec. 22, 2021, three days before Christmas, by 53-year-old Murdaugh from the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, where he has been jailed since October on a slew of financial fraud charges first unearthed amid allegations that he embezzled $4.3 million in insurance payout money intended for the sons of his dead housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield.

The recording was among more than 100 that The State, a Columbia newspaper in South Carolina, obtained via Freedom of Information Act requests.

Buster Murdaugh, in his 20s, expresses concern over the improper service of a search warrant against his father. He was already in prison and he was not present in person.

Bust Murdaugh says to his father, “Well it does matter man…” Bust Murdaugh tells his father, “Well, it does matter man… “I know you have done something illegal, —.,” Bust Murdaugh can be heard telling his father. But that doesn’t mean you should ignore the laws in the United States.

“Allegedly done illegal stuff,” Alex Murdaugh responds, laughing softly. “I’m kidding… anyway…so… It is what it is, you know? It is what it is.”

Buster Murdaugh claims his father was taken by law enforcement. He also took his cellphone and tablet. Alex Murdaugh replied that it didn’t matter because it has nothing.

This call will include news coverage of Alex Murdaugh’s bond hearings.

Alex Murdaugh said, “I’m past worrying about people’s opinions,” but “they don’t have any clue.”

Buster Murdaugh described the harassment that he suffered in public. Buster Murdaugh said that “some redneck guy had cussed him out” while he was at a gas station recently. His father responded by calling the man “a–hole”.

Buster began the conversation by talking about his return from law school and family vacation.

This was after Cameron McGowan Currie, a U.S. District Judge, issued an order on June 1, denying Murdaugh’s lawyers, Dick Harpootlian and Jim Griffin’s attempts at preventing Murdaugh from releasing incoming calls Murdaugh made while in prison to different news agencies.

Murdaugh admitted that he was aware that phone calls would be recorded and monitored. However, he never consented to the tapes being released for law enforcement purposes. FITSNews was an independent investigative outlet that was able to obtain some tapes from jail several months ago. They were also the ones who led the legal effort to release more recordings.

Murdaugh remains in prison on a $7 million bond and all his financial assets have been frozen.

Murdaugh was indicted by a South Carolina grand jury on 15 counts containing 79 charges.

An announcement by state investigators earlier this month stated that they had been granted permission by Satterfield’s family to exhume Satterfield’s body four years ago. This was after a mysterious fall at Murdaugh’s house in 2018. A death certificate stated that Satterfield died of natural causes. Her death was not reported to her coroner and an autopsy was not done.

June 7th marked the anniversary of the double murders of Alex Murdaugh’s wife Maggie Murdaugh, and their son Paul Murdaugh (22), who took place on the sprawling Moselle estate, which spans 1,700 acres in rural Colleton County. The area is called the Lowcountry. Alex Murdaugh may be a curiosity. However, no official suspects have been named in the homicides.

Alex Murdaugh is accused of plotting a suicide-for-hire plot three months after discovering that his son and wife had died on the family estate. He had hoped Buster Murdaugh would give him $10 million to cover his life insurance policy.

Murdaugh was shot briefly and was then airlifted to the hospital. This occurred just one day after Murdaugh was confronted by his great-grandfather’s partners at the prominent personal injury law firm. They were concerned about alleged thefts amounting to millions of dollars.

Murdaugh’s relatives were also the chief of the local prosecutor’s office for generations. Murdaugh was released initially from custody to receive treatment for an alleged opioid addiction that had been brewing for decades at out-of-state rehab centers.

He was later arrested in Orlando for new charges of defrauding Satterfield’s children.

Kavanaugh Neighbors Question Media’s Muted Minimal Response to Threat on His Life

0

Nicholas Roske (26 years old) arrived at the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh just over a week ago. Mainstream media quickly reported the story. He had planned to kill Kavanaugh, then himself. The assailant surrendered without inflicting any injury to the police.

However, some of Kavanaugh’s neighbors in the upscale Chevy chase suburbs bordering Washington, D.C., are still not satisfied.

The disturbing incident was covered by the media from many angles. The protests continued outside of the residence of the conservative judge ahead of important Supreme Court decisions in the coming weeks. There are still questions regarding Roske’s actions. Roske was armed with a gun, ammo, and pepper spray and he protested against Kavanaugh’s potentially scale-tipping views about abortion rights and gun laws.

“That was very unexpected to me.”

The investigation is still ongoing. This week, police revealed that Roske had seen federal marshals at Kavanaugh’s house Wednesday morning. Roske then texted his sister before abandoning his plans for killing Kavanaugh.

While no one was hurt in the end, there were some scars for neighbors who told Fox News Digital they had grown tired of the loud, vulgar, and “obnoxious” protests each week. Roske’s actions could encourage another attacker, which is why liberals are worried that Kavanaugh might be one of those votes that will soon overturn Roe V. Wade. The leak of an opinion draft published by Politico last month proved this. Roske and others living nearby are being informed by some of them.

Update: #SCOTUS6 Reproductive rights Activists remain committed to non-violent message; undaunted by today’s incident in Brett Kavanaugh’s neighborhood in which a man was arrested; intend to keep up protests. @downrightimp @OurRightsDC @RuthSentUs https://t.co/seYszDafoN pic.twitter.com/ANGosTGYL2

— DCMediaGroup (@DCMediaGroup) June 8, 2022

Another Chevy Chase resident said that “people are very nervous”.

Some have already forgotten about the threat.

The Washington Post continues to cover the story as it unfolds in its own backyard. Roske has not been mentioned in print by the New York Times since June 8, 2008. The newspaper also published the original story on page 20 in the print edition the following day.

USA Today and Chicago Tribune both removed the story from their front pages on Sunday. The incident was not mentioned by the networks this week, except in the context of a bill passed by Congress to increase protections for families of Supreme Court justices.

Ruth Sent Us, a far-left group, stated that it would continue protesting outside Kavanaugh and Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s homes even after the incident.

“It’s not going to end, it seems like,” the first Kavanaugh neighbor said. “This is a private neighborhood… I think it’s very disrespectful. This is a neighborhood, an escape from bitter D.C. politics.”

That neighbor agreed with the sentiments from some conservatives that the media would treat the Kavanaugh threat far more gravely if a liberal justice on the Court had been targeted in an assassination attempt, or if one of those justice’s neighbors was subjected to constant right-wing protests and noise.

They stated, “That would have been fair to the state.” They claimed that protesting in front of private residences is different than protesting in front of public buildings.

Chevy Chase’s second resident said that “you need to question that and feel like there is some kind of, you know, double-standard at work here.” “It is difficult to be in.

Kavanaugh was the Supreme Court nominee that was most closely followed after Clarence Thomas. In 2018, Kavanaugh was the Supreme Court nominee most closely followed since Clarence Thomas.

“I don’t believe there is another nominee for court who has had their house or neighborhood in the public realm in such a manner before,” said the second resident. They covered it… and there is a clear responsibility for the consequences.

Roske was quizzed by his neighbors about whether they believed Roske was forced to act due to the normalization protests at the residences of Supreme Court judges.

They said, “Yes, yes.” Yes, “This is what allows people to do these types of things, believing it’s okay to… However, I worry about it with my family. They are held captive twice per week by random picketers, or the young man who flew from California to carry out his plans.

Chevy Chase’s second resident said that it was important to question this belief and believe that there is a double standard here. It is something we shouldn’t be focusing on.

A third neighbor of Kavanaugh was not afraid to speak out about media. He compared it with media outlets that downplayed violent protests after George Floyd’s killing.

A neighbor of Kavanaugh stated that they want to cover up when their radicals do wrong. “Like what we saw in 2020 ]…, when all that was covered by peaceful protesting… It’s impossible to cover up the fact that it was a mostly peaceful intruder.

One neighbor stated that conservatives wouldn’t tolerate conservatives harassing Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. They were also concerned about the impact of this personal engagement on the Supreme Court’s impartiality.

They replied, “It wouldn’t be accepted.” They stated that they would enforce any law that intimidates a justice and that protests cannot be used to alter a verdict. They would then say, “Look at the actions of these radicals.” ”

The mainstream media has not completely ignored protesters. On Wednesday’s MSNBC Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough, and Mika Brzezinski expressed disapproval.

Scarborough said that although it’s legal, it’s not the best or most efficient way to do it. Brzezinski said that she was “so uncomfortable “.

A second neighbor said that it didn’t matter who held a position of authority, or was in office that such violence could happen.

They said that this should be accepted so far beyond the country’s tolerance that it should not even be considered a topic of discussion. “

Fauci Admits Not Enough Data To Show Recommended Boosters For 5-Year-Olds Work

0

Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged Thursday that, although the Biden administration recommends that all children over 5 years old receive a booster dose COVID-19 vaccines, there is not enough evidence to show that these boosters have lower rates of death or hospitalization in children.

Rand Paul, R-Ky., asked Fauci to clarify if there were any studies showing a decrease in hospitalizations or deaths for children who received boosters during a Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing.

Paul, who is also doctor, pointed out that only antibody studies had been conducted. These studies were, he claimed, not sufficient to prove the effectiveness of vaccines. Paul argued that vaccines that produce antibodies do not necessarily mean that they are necessary. He argued that one could have 10 booster shots and still get antibodies, but it does not necessarily mean that you need to get all 10.

Fauci, who was unable to testify because he has COVID-19 at the moment, called Paul’s hypothetical “somewhat absurd exaggeration”, but Paul said that this is what the government is doing.

Paul acknowledged that there is “probably some indication” that boosters can be beneficial for older adults who are at risk of developing COVID-19. However, this is not true for younger people. He stated that the vaccine could pose a risk to younger people. Paul cited recent reports that there is an increased risk of myocarditis among males 12-24 years old who receive a second dose.

A Republican senator also accused government officials of withholding information about COVID-19 pediatric cases. Paul was especially interested in the number children who were infected with COVID-19 and died later or were admitted to hospital.

Fauci didn’t answer the question but said that the best way to protect yourself from infection after it has occurred is to get vaccinated. This refers to the possibility of reinfection with the omicron variant.

Leaked Memo Reveals Facebook Is Changing Its Algorithm To Copy Tiktok

0

According to a memo leaked to the internet, Facebook employees were given a new directive by the company to make the app’s news feed more similar to the TikTok-owned Chinese firm.

According to The Verge, Facebook employees were given a new directive to make the app more TikTok-like according to a leaked memo. A memo from late April shows Facebook executive Tom Alison describing the plans for the future.

Facebook’s main newsfeed will now recommend posts, regardless of origin. Instead of prioritizing posts from accounts that people follow, it will not prioritize posts. The company plans to reunite its Messenger and Facebook apps, many years after they were separated. This will allow it to imitate TikTok’s messaging platform.

Reels, Facebook’s TikTok-clone feature that is included in Instagram, has been given a greater emphasis. These changes demonstrate how Facebook is trying to challenge TikTok for social media supremacy. Facebook has copied Snapchat features, and this is a trend that continues to grow as the app becomes more popular.

According to reports, investors are beginning to worry that Meta’s inability to navigate the challenges it faces in its ad industry will be a problem moving forward. If Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, wants his Metaverse vision to come true, he must keep up with the competition.

Alison stated to employees, in a comment under his April memo, “The risk is that we dismiss it as not valuable to people as an example of social communication and connection. And we fail to develop.”

Facebook’s main tab will now include Stories and Reels, and below that posts will be recommended by the app discovery engine from Instagram and Facebook. The app will be more video-heavy than text and have clear prompts for friends to send messages. Facebook plans to place a Messenger inbox at top right of app.

Senate Passes Historic Vote Bringing Health Care Relief To Burn Pit Vets

0

A new bill has been approved to treat the millions of veterans who have become ill from burn pit exposure.

On Thursday, the Senate voted 84-14 in favor of Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson honoring our promise to address comprehensive toxicities (PACT Act of 2022). This bill was approved by a majority vote and represents the most comprehensive veterans health care reform. It establishes a presumptive connection for veterans who have been seriously ill from inhaling toxic fumes at their bases abroad, including Afghanistan.

The passage of the Honoring Our PACT Act is the culmination of decades-long efforts by veterans and their families to ensure that the U.S. government provides proper treatment for severe illness suffered by service personnel after returning home from war.

Jon Feal, who lobbied with Stewart for veterans and helped to pass the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund in Washington, stated that the Honoring Our PACT Act would ensure that military personnel finally receive proper treatment. This $278 billion piece of legislation will help bring relief to the 3.5 million veterans who may have been affected by the fire pits. This is historic.

Stewart became interested in lobbying after meeting Rosie Torres. Rosie Torres started Burn Pits 360 with her husband LeRoy Torres over a decade ago. Stewart had returned from the Iraq War with many health problems due to prolonged exposure to the burn pits at his Balad base.

Fox News’ Investigative Unit has extensively reported on the many illnesses caused by veterans being exposed to burn pits. Many veterans claimed that the pits were a primitive method of incineration, in which all waste, including plastics and batteries, was burned. These items were often ignited with jet fuel as an accelerant.

Over 1,000 chemical compounds were burned in the pits every day. Service personnel inhaled toxic fumes without any protection.

One of the many who died from exposure to them is the namesake of Honoring Our PACT Act.

Heath Robinson was suspected to have developed mucus membrane penicillinoid, a rare autoimmune disorder. He was exposed to burn pits while on a 13-month tour of duty in Iraq with the Ohio National Guard. Robinson was able to receive assistance while he was still in the military. However, Danielle Robinson, his wife and Susan Zeier, her mother, were long-standing advocates for veterans.

The Honoring Our PACT Act, a major piece of legislation, will benefit the three million veterans who have been diagnosed with rare cancers, lung disease, or other respiratory diseases. The current law requires veterans with burn pit exposure-related illnesses or disabilities to establish a connection to the Department of Veterans Affairs in order to be eligible for benefits. This is a difficult task.

The Senate approved the bill and it will now be sent back to the House. It had already voted in favor in March before being passed to President Biden for him to sign it into law.

“When young men or women choose to serve our country, they rightly expect that their country will take good care of them when their time is up,” Senator Marco Rubio (R.FL), who was a key sponsor of this bill, stated in a statement to Fox News. It took us far too long to pass this bill, but we didn’t give up on our veterans. They have never lost heart for our country. I hope that the House will swiftly pass this bill so President Biden may finally sign it into law.

In this year’s State of the Union address, President Biden spoke out in support of new legislation and his son Beau. He believes Beau may have been exposed after he returned from 2001 military service.

Although the Senate passed the Honoring our PACT Act, it is an important milestone. However, advocates believe there is much to be done to ensure all veterans who have been exposed to burn pits are treated properly.

Rosie Torres said that she feels relieved after having fought for veterans’ rights for so many years.
