Karine Jean-Pierre, White House Press Secretary, attempted to explain Tuesday what she thought Republicans would do to the economy but struggled to make sense of it all.
“And you know, it is, it is, um, it is, you know, it is not, uh, it is, uh, it is, you know, it is reckless. It is playing a reckless game with our economic… ec.. with our-our economy.”

I had written at the time that the White House transcript was not yet available for the briefing and that it would be “a hoot” when it finally did.
Well, I wish I could tell you that it was, because, as of this writing, nearly three days after that embarrassing display, the White House has yet to release the transcript from that briefing.
These are the current press briefings available on the White House website starting this week.
Press Briefing by Karine Jean-Pierre, Press Secretary (October 24, 2022).
Press Briefing by Karine Jean-Pierre, Press Secretary, and John Kirby, National Security Council Coordinator Strategic Communications (October 26, 2022).
Press Gaggle by Karine Jean-Pierre, Press Secretary En Route Syracuse, NY (October 27, 20,22)
Is the White House behind in its transcript releases? Is it deliberate for the White House to delay the release of the official transcript? The transcripts of briefings have been published by the White House since Tuesday’s embarrassing display. I am curious to see how the transcript will look and whether it will be cleaned up or left as is.
