Just two days after leaving his Delaware beach home, President Joe Biden left for South Carolina on Wednesday to go on vacation.

As he left Joint Base Andrews, the president didn’t speak with reporters. He was en route to South Carolina.

President Biden and First lady Jill Biden left Rehoboth Beach Monday morning to visit flood victims in eastern Kentucky and to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Ike. They returned to the White House Monday evening.

Biden signed Tuesday’s $280 billion science and semiconductor funding bill, and Wednesday’s bill that provides benefits to veterans who have suffered from toxic burn pits exposure while stationed overseas.

The president didn’t hold a press conference prior to his vacation, breaking with White House tradition.

Instead, the White House shared a list on social media of Biden’s policy achievements as he left for the week.

The Bidens will spend their vacation at Kiawah Island (a small barrier island 25 miles southwest from Charleston) and stay there until next week.

Kiawah Island is a luxurious escape for the wealthy. It is also the location of The Sanctuary – one of the most luxurious golf resorts in the East Coast.

The island has been a summer vacation destination for the Biden family, who visited it four times during Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president.
