Many of us who have been around for a while will recall when Star Wars was a series that featured space operas. This was before Kathleen Kennedy destroyed the franchise with her woker-than-thou garbage. In the first film, Obi-Wan Kenobi is fighting Darth Vader’s lightsaber style. Obi-Wan tells his opponent that he cannot win the fight. “If you strike me down I shall become stronger than you can imagine,” Obi-Wan says to his opponent. Kenobi then catches a glimpse of Luke Skywalker. Kenobi smiles as Vader strikes what appears to be a fatal blow, but there is no Kenobi.
The Mar-a-Lago raid brought back memories of the scene I saw in the theater when I was finishing high school. Although Donald Trump is not an Obi-Wan Kanobi variant, this scene accurately depicts what’s likely to happen. Trump’s enemies won’t like it.
Trump’s political career has shown that the field in which he grows his f-s has never yielded a crop. Trump doesn’t care about opinions. Opposition never dissuades him. Trump will always say and do the best for his country. Either you want to join or you don’t. He is happy with either way.
To all except a few liberals, it is obvious that Trump’s raid had nothing to do the raid with bringing down any laws. It was about doing everything possible to stop him from running for office in 2024. The media knows that no one believes the lies they tell about the economy and foreign policy. Anything the Biden Administration says and does is acceptable because climate change is going to kill us all. Although they hope it will somehow get through to low-information voters they are well aware that it is a losing cause. They can only keep the Democrats in power by fear and lying.
Ironic that the Democrats should so focus on stopping Trump’s future run for political office is why it is so important. They will position Ron DeSantis immediately to challenge them in 2024 if they do manage to block Trump. DeSantis is, in fact, a stronger opponent to Trump’s plans. DeSantis is a proven runner. Florida was able to survive COVID because it opened up earlier than any other state. DeSantis is a leader by doing. He backs up his words with direct action against agenda-driven teachers, whether they are gender-based or CRT. DeSantis is a model of leadership.
There are clear differences. DeSantis is not Trump’s apprentice. He is, however, from the same cloth. The wearers are easily identified by the absence of any quarters or f’s. DeSantis is open to working with people who are like-minded. Imagine a White House correspondents’ conference, led by Christina Pushaw. Every “journalist” present would be standing by the end of the conference, their happy selves too exhausted to sit down.
It’s natural to feel anger at the cowardly and blatantly politically motivated Mar-a-Lago raid. It is normal to feel anger at the cowardly, politically motivated Mar-a-Lago raid. However, it should not consume you. Keep calm and focused. There are good chances that Trump will emerge from this even more powerful than ever. Even if he doesn’t, Ron DeSantis will. He has a lightsaber and is not afraid to use it.
