On Thursday night, two people were killed and one was injured at a Birmingham suburb church.

Vestavia Hills Police Department announced via Facebook that a suspect had been taken into custody. AL.com reported the victim was alive and being treated for serious injuries.

According to police, the shooting took place on Thursday at 6:22 p.m. at a Potluck Dinner Event hosted by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills. John Burruss, the Rev. stated that the shooting occurred at the Boomers Potluck get-together.

According to police via AL.com, one suspect entered the small group and shot three people. One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, while two others were taken to the UAB Hospital. There, one of the victims died from their injuries.

Burruss uploaded a video statement to Thursday’s church, Facebook Page. Burruss stated that he was currently on a church-related trip to Athens, Greece with others and that he hopes to return to Vestavia Hills in the near future.

“Our hearts are broken from the horrible tragedy this evening at Saint Stephen’s,” the reverend wrote. “More than anything, I ask your prayers for our community, especially those who are injured and the families of the deceased.

He stated, “These are the pillars of our community, and I find it difficult to understand how devastating this must be for the whole church and wider community. There is so much that can be done as we come together to grieve this loss”.

Police stated that several fire departments and police departments, such as the FBI, US Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, responded quickly to the shooting.

We didn’t receive an immediate response from Vestavia Hills Police.

Kay Ivey, the governor of Alabama, “I am happy to hear that the shooter has been taken into custody. ” “This should never happen — in a church, in a store, in the city, or anywhere. We continue to closely monitor the situation.”

“A lot of people are going to be hurting, not just people who have been physically injured, but this is a scary thing when it happens,” the Rev. Kelley Hudlow, missioner of clergy formation for the Diocese of Alabama, told WVTM. “What we need is for this community to do what it’s really good at, which is coming together to comfort each other.”

The suspect has been captured: Police said the suspect, is a 71-year-old man but declined to release his name.

Ware said the suspect previously attended services at the church, but investigators are still looking into possible motives.

“Any past interactions involving the suspect are currently still being investigated by numerous agencies,” Ware said, adding the suspect appeared to have acted alone.

The FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco are assisting in the investigation, Ware said.

Imagine my surprise! (That’s sarcasm!) A Volkswagen Jetta with a bumper sticker featuring Trump and Hitler was found in a shop selling Trump merchandise, Easton, MASS.

I travel for a living and have seen countless Trump merch. store, but haven’t ever seen a Biden merch store.

Trump flags were placed in the window of the store. A lot of the Trump merchandise was damaged but at least no one was hurt.

Police continue to investigate the incident but have not brought any charges against Raynham man, 46 years old.

A sticker on the car contained a quote by Voltaire. It was cleverly twisted on such sweet irony. “Those who can make people believe absurdities could make them commit atrocities.”

Keith Lambert, the store owner, said that Keith had seen a mother with her son shopping in the Trump section moments before the driver arrived.

This “accident” seems a little “dom-terrible” if you ask me.

Hillary Clinton ruled out any speculations that she would run for the presidency again in 2024. She called such a campaign “out of the question.” Clinton spoke with the Financial Times about her political career, the Biden presidency and the 2024 race for the presidency.

Clinton refused to answer a question about whether she was planning to run again.

She told the Financial Times, “No, it’s not in the cards.” “First, I expect Biden will run. He intends to run. It would be disruptive to challenge that.”

Clinton stated that the main issue for moving forward was the next electoral vote, over any other economic or social policy issues. Clinton called the possibility of a Republican president 2024 “so terrifying” that it is impossible to help Democrats win.

Clinton stated, “We are on the edge of losing democracy. And everything else that anybody cares about goes out the window.” “It is the most important thing to win the next elections. It is so scary that you should not prioritize anything that does not help.

Karine Jean-Pierre, White House Press Secretary, laughed at a Monday question about Biden’s mental and physical well-being in an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon.

Lemon asked, “Does President Obama have the mental and physical stamina to carry on after 2024?” Lemon was curious.

Jean-Pierre, visibly shocked, exclaimed “Don, you are asking me this question.” “Oh my goodness. He’s the President for the United States. Lemon’s press secretary laughed and said that Lemon, 47, sometimes has trouble keeping up with Biden, who is 79. Lemon’s question, she said, was not one that “we should even consider asking.”

Clinton also speculated that Trump would run for the presidency again, if given the chance. Former Secretary of State stated that she believed Trump’s decision to run for president would be driven by financial gain.

Biden administration officials reported a worrying increase in unaccompanied migrants being apprehended crossing the southwest border to Mexico. In May, Border Patrol agents arrested more than 14,000 unaccompanied minors. These numbers are expected to continue rising in June.

According to the Southwest Land Border Migration Report, Border Patrol agents who patrolled the southwest border with Mexico arrested 14,442 unaccompanied migrants children in May. This is a nearly 22 percent increase over the previous month, and the largest monthly arrest since July 2021.

Breitbart Texas reviewed reports from the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services and found that the number of unaccompanied migrants is on the rise in June. Border Patrol agents arrested nearly 500 unaccompanied migrants on June 16. This brings the 30-day average of 407 children per day to 407. HHS currently has 10,167 children in custody.

After reaching a peak in July 2021 at 18,954, the unaccompanied child population at the border dropped to 8,751 in January. The number of unaccompanied children apprehended at the border rose to 14,138 in March and almost reached 15,000 by May.

Border Patrol agents arrested 98,654 children unaccompanied between October 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022. This represents a nearly 26 percent increase over FY21.

When President Joe Biden was elected, a dramatic shift occurred in the migrant population. He also changed many of Trump’s immigration and border security policies. In December 2020, President Trump’s last month in office, agents arrested less than 5,000 children who were traveling as migrants without their parent or guardian. This number had risen to over 9,400 by February 28, President Biden’s first full month in office. The next month, it doubled to almost 19,000.

Biden’s administration has reported that more than 220,000 children unaccompanied have been apprehended since February 2021 — an average of almost 14,000 per month.

After being stopped by reporters, President Biden fell off his bike while riding in Delaware with Jill Biden, the first lady.

Since he assumed his Oval Office post, the president has been frequently seen riding a bicycle. He claimed that his foot got stuck in the pedal while trying to get it to stop.

Fox News received a statement from the White House stating that “The President stated, his foot caught on the pedal while dismounting, and he is fine.” There is no need for medical attention.

The official said that the President was looking forward to spending the remainder of the day with his family.

After his fall, Biden sat down and greeted a child waiting in Rehoboth Beach to ask him about running the country.

Biden laughed, “Oh it’s just like any other job.” “Some parts of it are difficult.”

The president took a photo of the girl, who stated that she would one day like to be president.

Biden refused to answer questions about his upcoming meeting in China with President Xi Jinping, or the lifting of any tariffs related to China.

The president praised Delaware’s recent ban on the sale of assault weapon this week.

Biden said that he was also happy with the Senate’s progress on gun control, and that he was ready to sign tougher gun control legislation.

Before he rode off, the president mounted his bike and said “Alright guys. See ya.”

For decades, Democrats have warned that the United States should abandon the most affordable and cost-effective energy sources or it will be consumed by burning fireballs and heat waves.  Every flood, hurricane, and natural weather disaster is blamed on climate change.

So why does Joe Biden encourage everyone to drill when the world is on the verge of an impending apocalypse and Vladimir Putin isn’t at fault? But Democrats are blaming the oil companies for profiteering. The national average Wednesday was $5.014, nearly $2 more than last year. Biden wrote to oil companies warning them that they would abuse their executive power if prices don’t drop immediately. This was a political appeal to the highest levels of “greedflation” possible.

Biden, who in just a few years promised a clean-energy economy that would produce 100% of its energy from renewable sources and emit zero emissions, wants companies to spend more. Everybody knows that when oil prices fall, Democrats will pass regulations and laws that harm their businesses. Tomorrow, they will demand that oil executives are held accountable and bring them before congressional committees.

The price of today is a guarantee of the future. Democrats’ energy policies are a mess. It fluctuates from pernicious and puerile. The Democrats’ energy policy is a chaotic mess. They campaign on the promise of destruction, then demand that it be turned on a dime whenever they want.

Democrats will claim that this crisis is unique as prices have risen at historic highs. This is what the policy progressives have been advocating for years.

Biden promised that no drilling would take place on federal lands in 2020. Blue states have either banned or are working to ban fracking.

Biden signed the Paris Agreement on the first day. He is currently trying to end this agreement. He revoked Keystone XL permits. The pipeline, which spans 1,700 miles, was expected to transport around 800,000. barrels per day into the United States. This price was also included in the price. Biden signed a series of executive orders that placed climate change above production. They also canceled all public oil and natural gas leases. There were signs of an energy boom.

The president should not threaten price control.

But, the economic implications of any policy similar to the Green New Deal that Biden claimed is the “framework” for his efforts on “environmental justice” would be the same as 30 years of economic shutdowns due to coronaviruses. It is a policy that will bring back $5.00 per gallon.

It is impossible to put in place an energy policy in a capricious way and then abandon it when the Democrats lose poll numbers.

Jimmy Carter made remarks during his presidency that would be later called his “malaise talk.” Not because he did not use the term to describe his feelings about the crushing inflation, but because his assessment of the feelings of the Americans from the crush of inflation came off so pessimistically.

Joe Biden is finally here and it is full of lies.

He said, “First and foremost it’s unlikely. ” “Secondly, we have the ability to defeat inflation better than any other country. ”

Biden was defensive on the issue of inflation. He asked, “Do you believe that’s possible?” He replied, “I’m being foolish.”

The AP tried to make it sound a little more positive by his statement suggesting that he was speaking about inflation rising globally. Fox’s Peter Doocy questioned White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and she essentially repeated the lie. She also mentioned G7 and stated that we were in a better economic position than the rest.

Jean Pierre and Biden’s comments were, of course.

The latest inflation figures for these countries showed that Germany is at 7.9% and France at 5.2%, Japan at 2.5%, India at 7.04%, and Canada at 6.8%.

He made up nonsense, claiming that the American Rescue Plan was responsible for inflation. It is not a belief held by most economists, and there is no evidence to support that assertion. “I don’t believe it did. Most economists do not believe it did. But, it is absurd to suggest that it caused inflation. He doesn’t know what it is or refuses to acknowledge it.

According to the AP, Americans are worried about their job performance. This is just one way to put it.

A poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Research, May found that only 39% of Americans approve of Biden’s presidency. This is a decrease from the negative ratings that Biden received a month earlier.

Only 2 in 10 Americans believe that the U.S. is moving in the right direction and that the economy has been doing well. This drop was concentrated in Democrats, with only 33% saying that the country is on the right track.

Biden’s opinion on Americans being so upset was that Carter said back then that Americans were in a crisis. Biden was, as Biden is, less elegant. Biden claimed that Americans are now suffering from mental illness as a result of the COVID crisis.

Biden said that Americans are “really down” about America’s general mindset.

Biden said that Americans are more dependent on their mental health as a result of all the upheavals.

Biden attempted to blame Republicans for creating anxiety, claiming that their social policy contributed to it. However, Republicans don’t control the government. Fox polls show that Americans trust Republicans more on issues like inflation and maintaining democracy than Biden and Democrats.

He is able to talk about Americans and laugh at their mental health, while also attacking Americans for being unhappy with them. He isn’t the strongest advocate for mental health. It’s something we’ve seen over and over. However, the Associated Press has yet to release a video from the interview. This is a curious oversight. Biden is seen signing the shipping bill on Thursday. He stares into space and can’t seem to answer simple questions. He thinks he is doing an amazing job.

The University Hatchet suggests that names be replaced with the connotation “Colonials”, used for teams of Buff or Blue.

The article asked, “What name would be more appropriate?” “This school was named after George Washington, with its colors being the Continental Army buff, blue, and Colonial America colors. It should be given the name “Colonials”, in the event that such a school exists. ”

It was a valuable heritage item:

The college claims that George Washington did not approve of the word.

This name, nearly 100 years old, will also be exiled — another casualty in our moniker-making era.

Jonathan Turley is a GWU Law Professor and is not impressed with the “Colonials”.

He said that “the university claims the term doesn’t reflect the school’s value” and then added online that “it doesn’t seem to include historical accuracy.”

“The Colonials fought for foreign control. This is clear even if we only look at our history.”

Caterpillar Inc. announced Tuesday that it would be moving its headquarters to Texas. The following statement was posted by the company on its website:

DEERFIELD (IL) – Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE CAT), today announced that it will relocate its global headquarters from Deerfield, Illinois, to its Irving, Texas office.

“We believe that it is in the best strategic interests of the company to move this way, which supports Caterpillar’s strategy for profitable growth, as we help customers build a better and more sustainable world,” stated Chairman and CEO Jim Umpleby.

Since the 1960s, Caterpillar has been present in Texas in several departments of the company. The largest concentration of Caterpillar workers in any country is still found in Illinois.

In 2022, the company will transition its headquarters to Irving.

The company stated that Illinois still has the highest concentration of Caterpillar Caterpillar CAT employees, -5.44%, worldwide, even after the move. The original headquarters was in the Illinois downstate, Peoria. It was moved to Deerfield, a suburb of Chicago, in 2017.

This announcement comes after Boeing announced in May that it would move from Chicago, Illinois, to Arlington, Virginia. And, of course, Tesla’s move last January from Palo Alto, California to Austin, Texas.

It follows Governor Pritzker’s constant praising of the State’s strong financial performance while he stands for re-election.

The Republicans were not generous with their descriptions.

Illinois Republicans are slamming Gov. J.B. Pritzker was criticized after Caterpillar announced its plans to move its corporate headquarters to Texas. But the governor fired back, saying that Texas is still experiencing increased job growth due to his policies.

House Republican Leader Jim Durkin stated that “Caterpillar’s decision not to return to Illinois, after having called it home for many years, is a devastating loss for Illinois’ business community.” “The reasons for this decision couldn’t have been clearer – Illinois’s business climate no longer works for this company.”

Pritzker’s opponent in the Illinois governor’s race says that this move is yet another reason why Republican leadership is necessary for Illinois.

“This is another reminder that Illinois desperately needs change in Springfield.” Jesse Sullivan, a candidate for the Illinois Senate, stated that self-serving career politicians had sold us out.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott was delighted to hear about the move and issued his own statement.

“Caterpillar’s relocation of its global headquarters is a significant win for North Texas and the state. Texas now has 54 Fortune 500 corporate headquarters. I am proud to host Caterpillar’s Texas headquarters and look forward to the economic opportunities for Texans. We believe that all businesses, regardless of size, can succeed in Texas because it offers a world-class environment for growth and success. This includes low operating costs, reasonable regulations, excellent quality of life, and a favorable regulatory environment. Caterpillar’s move to Irving is a testimony to the endless opportunities Texas offers. I look forward to working with this global leader to make the American Dream a reality.
