House Passes Sweeping Gun Control Bill Amid Series Of Mass Shootings

With a vote of 234-193, Friday’s gun control bill was passed by the House of Representatives. This is Congress’s response to rising violence against guns across the country. The Senate approved the bill by a vote 65 to 33.

Following two mass shootings in Buffalo, New York and Uvalde, Texas that left many dead and many others injured, 10 Senate Republicans began negotiations to pass legislation.

Despite being opposed by Republicans in Congress (including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and the House Republicans), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell supported it. He said that the bill would “help make these horrific events less likely while fully upholding Second Amendment Rights for law-abiding residents.” ”

Already, President Biden indicated that he would immediately sign the legislation. This legislation encourages states to adopt red flag laws and expand background checks. It also makes it easier for 18- to 21-year-olds to obtain background checks.

Soon-to-be law provides incentives for states that release sealed juvenile records. This could make it more difficult to buy a gun.

The bill also calls to close the “boyfriend loophole”, a demand Democrats have made for many years. If a partner is convicted of abuse, this would stop them from getting weapons.

The bill is the first Congressman to pass gun control legislation in decades. However, it might not have been enough to stop the mass shootings in Texas (and New York) in the past.

Both shooters had 18-years-old and had legally purchased AR-15-style rifles before their attacks.

Payton Gendron, who was charged with killing 10 people in Buffalo as well as injuring three others in an attack motivated by hate, was also accused. In 2021, he was assessed for mental issues.

The incident was not deemed a red alert.

“Where are the red flags that he was legally able to purchase these guns?” “Sheriff John Garcia, Erie County, New York, was reportedly interrogated following the shooting.

California Equity Director Blasts Parent Resisters to District’s Agenda in Leaked Meeting Notes

0

According to meeting notes, a California director for equity & inclusion in Poway Unified School District called parents who don’t agree with her agenda “resisters.”

JEDI, which stands for Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion, hosted the meeting. Casey Doan, the chair of the group, said that it was organized by the Palomar Council PTA within the Poway Unified Schools District. They claim that they work directly with the district, according to their website.

Doan posted the meeting notes which gave a rare glimpse into conversations behind closed doors.

Here are the Meeting notes (more of a summary than minutes). She said that she would continue to add to them, making this a living document.

At a Sept. 13, 2021 meeting, Dr. Shawntanet Jara, district equity director, was asked about her agenda. “How will you approach parents pushing back?”

According to Dr. Jara’s summary of the meeting, pushback is not new. It’s loud, but it’s not common. [L]ook for Org[anization] Transformation Theory: 20% resist, 20% wish that you had started 5 years ago, 60% floating in the middle. I focused my attention on those who were willing to move. This comes with a cost. It’s okay. I need to go to bed at night. I also need to be able to explain what I did in the service of children. I don’t want to make them change their minds. I am able to communicate that to those who resist. It doesn’t need to be argumentative. It’s simply factual. It’s okay to disagree.

We tried to reach Dr. Jara, but we did not get a reply.

The director was then asked if Carol Osborne (associate superintendent for the district) supports this approach.

According to the meeting summary, she stated that “There seems to be enough courage around right now to take it on.” Carol is open and honest about her equity position – it’s a lens through which we see everything. As a child, she didn’t feel like she belonged. She feels so strongly that she is the only child who feels this way. It gives me the confidence to move forward. I am not a box. This is my current feeling. Superintendent believes equity is not negotiable.

We have previously reported on Dr. Jara and Osborne’s emails to a parent who raised concerns about the equity curriculum. Dr. Jara refused to discuss the concerns of the parent and instead made “statements”.

She said, “I respect your point of view… I’ve learned that it’s futile to ‘debate or argue’ so I’ll make just a few statements.”

She said, “I was hired because the district is committed to equity and inclusion.” “Truth and equity are essential for true healing and progress”. “You can be sure that all facts regarding systemic racism in this country are supported by data so that you don’t have to worry about it”. “We are open to your concerns at any time. However, we will continue to do our best to ensure that PUSD is a district that offers equitable learning environments”. “This is what I want for my children as well as yours”.

Osborne, the associate superintendent, followed up by email blasting the parent for criticizing Dr. Jara’s experiences.

She stated, “I was shocked you questioned the oppression of Dr. Jara, who is Black.” She shares the same experiences of oppression that thousands of African Americans and others of color have. Your life experiences are likely to be very different than Dr. Jara’s and not reflect the oppression she experienced.

Osborne did not respond to our request.

Californians for Equal Rights Foundation filed an administrative complaint against the district accusing it of discrimination. Wenyuan Wu the executive director stated that the district does not “treat dissent or dissenters with an opened mind or even minimal tolerance.”

She said, “Parents or community members disagreeing about its teaching paradigms are often given bureaucratic runarounds. Sometimes parents were mocked and their concerns were ignored.

The previous statement from the district stated that parents are encouraged to give feedback. It also provided many opportunities for parents to engage in discussions. All meetings with parents are conducted respectfully by staff according to professional standards.

Key Players Identified In Break-In of Florida Mansion Worth $8 Million

Authorities have identified the “key people” in the Florida burglary. A group of more than 200 teens hosted an unannounced party in a Florida house on Friday.

“We’ve found the key players, and we’ll interview them today,” Walton County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Corey Dobridnia told Fox News Digital.

She stated, “We are narrowing today who was the ringleader of this crime and who could be charged.”

Santa Rosa Beach’s owners were absent last Friday as a large party was held by a group. They consumed thousands of dollars of wine, liquor, and even $1500 worth of champagne.

They staged an impromptu boxing match in the foyer and stole many valuables, including a purse worth $3,500 from Yves Saint Laurent and a signed football of Peyton Manning (former Colts quarterback).

Most of the teens are local and some were given up by their parents, school officials, and neighboring police departments, Dobridnia said.

The unsanctioned house party was advertised on social media five days prior to the break-in. The locks on the accordion glass doors that lead to the backyard were pried off, then the front door was opened to let in the intruders, officials said.

The home has an alarm system that was armed at the time, according to Dobridnia. The upscale community of WaterColor also has a 24-hour security patrol. “It doesn’t matter our security system,” the owner said. “They came in my home illegally and uninvited.”

Police were called to address this after receiving noise complaints.

Fox reported previously that the owner was a stay-at-home mom who said, “It wasn’t the material objects, it’s the memories.”

Unwanted guests were discovered in every bedroom and tried on shoes and swimsuits.

She stated, “It was an absolute violation.” “The lakeside property had an infinity pool and was listed on Zillow at $7,950,000 before the rager.”

Any information is welcome from the authorities at Walton County Sheriff’s Office (850-892-8111), or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers (858863-TIPS).

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Drama Continues, Seeking Restraining Order Against Democrat Staffer

0

While not popular with many people on our team, I don’t like Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Georgia Republican Congresswoman, nor am I a fan of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) or Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), but I digress. Ah, just a bit more.

It is the constant need to pay attention to both Greene’s and Boeberts’ twin cases. Fangirling is a common response to this need. Greene announced Tuesday night she was filing a restraining order against a House Democrat staffer.

We previously reported that an employee was captured on security cameras destroying posters outside Greene’s Washington Office.

Greene stated that she felt compelled to request a protective order for Timothy Hysom, chief of staff to Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Jake Auchincloss. This was after the U.S. Attorney’s Office refused to issue a warrant to arrest and indict the staffer.

Nancy Pelosi is the Democratic leader and I don’t believe they can provide protection for me and my staff.

Matt Corridoni of Auchincloss stated that Hysom never threatened Greene or her staff. “Tim has never had direct contact with the congresswoman, and he doesn’t plan to.”

Greene asserts Hysom “continued to attack her for months.”

I didn’t even know who this person was that [sic] was continuing to attack me for months and months. And all I know is he refuses to apologize, He’s doubled down on what he has done.

Apology or not, Greene wants Hysom prosecuted, which is apparently not going to happen.

Although Tim Hysom was Jake Auchincloss’s chief of staff, he was captured by Capitol Police. However, the Department of Justice refused to prosecute him. In the video, Hysom attacked the sign, attacked my religion, and attacked my beliefs about protecting my district and gender.

They won’t bring him before a Judge. Nancy Pelosi won’t give me a secure security detail even though she has one for herself.

That’s what I don’t understand.

While I could not be more critical of the Democrat Party’s policies, principles, and practices, I am acutely aware and skeptical about all Democrat’s actions. Greene is also on the “political theater” charge. A non-relevant Democrat staffer placed stickers outside her office and she fears for her safety.

Nonsense — I call B.S. on that one.

The background via Just the News

Corridoni confirmed Monday, that Hysom had placed stickers on posters outside Greene’s office declaring that there are only two genders. He believed that the posters’ messages were cruel and needed to be removed.

According to the spokesperson, Hysom’s actions did not violate any laws. He stated that the request to have prosecutors file an arrest warrant against him was absurd.

“I didn’t even know who this person was that was continuing to attack me for months and months,” Greene said. “And all I know is he refuses to apologize. He’s doubled down on what he has done.”

According to just the news, Greene said that her fears have been exacerbated by the “fact” that she received 60 death threats in 2022. However, she was turned down to receive a personal security detail by Pelosi’s Democrat leadership.

The Democrats have their ever-self-aggrandizing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who cannot get enough attention regardless of how hard she tries –and damn, she sure does try. And the Republicans?

We’ll leave it at that for now.

Biden’s Deeply Disappointed By Supreme Court Gun Decision

0

President Biden was “deeply disappointing” by the Supreme Court’s gun ruling that overturned New York’s law restricting concealed carry permits.

Biden made this statement shortly after the Supreme Court’s decision. New York law requires permit applicants to give reasons for obtaining a firearm.

Biden stated that New York has required that anyone who wants to carry concealed weapons in public must prove self-defense. ”

He stated, “I urge all states to continue to enact commonsense legislation to make their citizens and communities safer from gun violence.”

Biden’s statement came minutes after Democratic New York Governor Kathy Hochul condemned it. Hochul stated that the United States did not have access to muskets when the 2nd Amendment was written and that she was open to returning to muskets with gun restrictions.

New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen is the first major 2nd Amendment case to reach the Supreme Court in more than a decade.

To determine whether applicants have provided a reason for owning a firearm, the state could use “proper cause” to determine. They could then deny access to anyone who wanted to be secure.

Respondents agree with petitioners that law-abiding citizens have the right to openly carry handguns publicly for self-defense. We concluded that New York’s licensing system is in violation of the Constitution.

The gun-rights case will be one of many cases that SCOTUS will decide on Thursday and Friday. Dobbs v. Jackson is another case in which the court is expected to overturn Roe V. Wade.

Only 9% Of New Hampshire Voters Want Biden To Run For President Again

0

According to a poll of New Hampshire voters, only 9% said they want President Biden back to run. However, 20% said they would “probably” vote for him to run. According to a University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll, 52% of voters said they don’t want Biden running again in 2022, up from 43% in 2021.

Only 54% of likely Democratic voters said Biden should run again, a sharp drop from the 74% of self identified Democrats who wanted Biden to be re-elected in University of New Hampshire’s 2021 survey.

According to a Wednesday poll, Kamala Harris’ approval in New Hampshire is much lower than President Biden’s. The poll measures support for potential 2024 candidates.

The University of New Hampshire poll showed Harris had 23% favorability, while Biden was at 23%. However, the number of likely Democratic primary voters who saw Harris unfavorably is significantly higher. Sixty-four per cent of respondents see Harris as unfavorable as a potential Democratic presidential nominee for 2024, compared with 56% who saw Biden unfavorably.

Biden’s net negative 30 percentage point is tied for the lowest, which was established in May 2020, just a few months after he won the Democratic nomination.

An earlier Fox News poll found that Harris was unpopular with likely voters. 39% viewed her favorably, and 56% viewed her unfavorably.

Recent speculation about a Democratic nominee has grown in response to the president’s low approval ratings, fears about his age, and the possibility of a disastrous midterm election for Democrats.

The University of New Hampshire also surveyed potential Republican presidential nominees. Voters had a favorable view of Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis is more popular than Trump.

39% of likely Republican primary voters said they would support Florida’s first governor and 37% said that they would support the former president. The survey provided respondents with a list of possible candidates for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024. DeSantis’ margin was within the sampling error.

New Hampshire is the first state to hold a primary in the presidential nomination cycle. It has been a battleground state for decades. Trump lost four of the state’s electoral votes to Hillary Clinton in 2016, a narrow margin. Biden won the state by seven points in 2020.

According to the poll, Trump would be outnumbered by Biden in New Hampshire by 50%-43%, but DeSantis is ahead of Biden by 47%-46%.

The UNH Survey Center poll took place June 16-20. 845 likely voters in 2024, including 318 likely GOP primaries voters, were questioned online. The overall sampling error for the survey is +/- 3.4 percentage points. For likely GOP primary voters, it’s +/- 5.5 percentage points.

Feds Step Up January 6 Law Enforcement Activity As Democrat Partisan Hearings Continue

0

The Feds served a search warrant on Michael McDonald, Nevada Republican chairman, and James DeGraffenreid, state party secretary, as Democrats continued their partisan hearings. This week, they also raided Jeffrey Clark’s home. Clark is a Trump-era Justice Department official.

8 News Now reports that McDonald’s agents took McDonald’s’ phone to investigate the fake elector scheme at the 2020 election. This was in response to the controversy surrounding Biden winning. According to official statistics, the vote was cast by six Nevadans who won the state by less than three percent.

According to the outlet, “A second search warrant has been issued in respect state party secretary James DeGraffenreid, who signed the document.” Sources say that FBI agents failed to locate DeGraffenreid Wednesday.

This isn’t a complete list. Agents searched Jeffrey Clark’s house on Wednesday. Clark, a Trump-era Justice Department official, reportedly wrote letters to states asking them to reconsider their election results.

Center for Renewing America, Clark’s employer confirmed the search. Russ Vought (President of Center for Renewing America) revealed that Jeff Clark’s house was raided by more than 12 DOJ officers in a predawn raid. Clark was also placed in his pajamas by the officers and his electronic devices were taken.

He stated that “the new age in criminalizing politics has worsened” and then added that Clark was being targeted as he “saw fit to” investigate voter fraud.

Vought was also the Director of the Office of Management and Budget for President Trump.

Democrats are continuing their partisan January 6 hearings. The Feds’ law-enforcement activity is also occurring. Mark Levin a well-known conservative speaker, author and speaker warned that the Feds would “go down as a dark mark on the American political system.” ”

A poll by ABC News found that less than 10% of Americans follow hearings closely. Survey data shows that Americans trust Republicans more to protect democracy than Democrats.

Peter Navarro was a former White House economic adviser. He was detained by the Feds for contempt of Congress three weeks ago. He refused to cooperate in the January 6 committee.

Twitter Slams Gov. Hochul’s Anger Over SCOTUS Gun Ruling

0

Conservatives took to Twitter to criticize Governor Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.), after she lashed out at the Supreme Court decision that overturned New York’s restrictive concealed carry firearm regulations.

The Supreme Court’s decision on Thursday to strike down state regulations regarding concealed carry permits was broadcast live by Governor Hochul, who defiantly addressed her citizens and denounced the decision.

Hochul stated that the Supreme Court had “deprived the State of New York of its right and responsibility to protect its citizens” during the press conference. Hochul stated that the Supreme Court’s decision was “frightful” in its scope and “sends us backwards as we try to protect families and prevent gun violence.”

Hochul’s speech, which lasted around seven minutes, went viral. Hochul said, “I’m sorry that this dark day has arrived, and that we’re supposed go back to what was there since 1788, when the Constitution of America was ratified.” I also want to remind the Supreme Court justices of the fact that the only weapon at that time was muskets. I am willing to return to muskets.

Brittany Hughes, MRCTV host, criticized Hochul’s point and responded, “And the only politicians then were men.” What is your point?

Tim Young, Washington Times columnist, tweeted: “If Kathy Hochul’s security detail doesn’t switch to only using mukets first… then she has the right to f— off.”

Stephen Miller, a former Trump senior advisor, asked: “Will the criminals roaming freely through New York be going back into muskets too?” Hochul replied, “Also, just out of curiosity, what medium does Hochul use to broadcast this message? Did it exist in 18th century?”

Carmine Sabia, conservative author, also criticized Hochul’s talk point, saying, “New York Governor. Kathy Hochul claims she is’ready to go back to muzzles’ because she seems determined to [violate] Section 2.

Monica Crowley, Conservative podcast host, asked: “Hi @GovKathyHochul – do you remember when your Congressmanship was and how proudly you displayed your NRA ‘A’ rating? It was good times.

The governor also tweeted her frustrations. She wrote, “It’s outrageous that at a time of national reckoning about gun violence the Supreme Court recklessly struck down New York law which limits who can carry concealed arms,”

Jill Savage, a Blaze reporter, criticized Hochul’s tweet and commented, “Sorry, the Constitution happened to your.”

Matthew Kolken, a conservative lawyer, responded to Hochul’s tweet by writing: “Take the loss Kathy. Or, we will see you again in Court.

Beth Baumann, a conservative journalist, rebutted Hochul’s post and accused her of wanting to make Americans victims. “It’s absurd that you want sexual assault survivors such as myself to prove that we need a CCW, even if our past is sufficient proof.” Because I was in Gavin Newsom’s state when it happened, I understand what that feels like.”

Hochul’s tweet was retweeted by Graham Allen, a conservative personality.

Wendell Husebo, a Breitbart journalist, replied that it was a “great ruling.” It protects self-defense rights. Private security such as Hochul is not affordable for everyone.
